Semester: 1st [ for Muslim Students only other than Shariah Faculty]

Title: Tajweedul Qur’an: I (The art of correct recitation of the Qur’an) Code: MDP-1101 Total Classes: 14 Sessions of 60 minutes each

Session-1:

 A brief introduction to the course and its importance

 Selection of a Class Representative

 Introduction to Arabic Alphabets along with the comparison of Bangla

 Practice with meaning the Surah al- Fatihah

Session-2:

 An introduction to the Science of Tajweed

 Importance of learning the correct recitation of the Qur‟an.

 The Letters where the students face difficulties in articulating correctly ; A brief analysis.

 The manners (Adab) pertaining to the recitation of the Qur‟an

 Ta‟awudh, (ii) Basmalah, (iii) Tarteel, (iv) Tadabbur

 Practice & Memorization of Surah an-Naas with meaning.

Session-3:

 Classification of the Alphabets on the basis of Makharij and their application

(i) Al-Jowf (the empty space of the mouth), (ii) Al-Halaq (the throat), (iii) Al-Lisan (the tongue), (iv) Al-Shafatan (the lips), (v) Al-Khayshum (the nasal passage)

 Practice & Memorization of Surah al-Falaq with meaning.

Session-4:

 Practice & Memorization of Surah al- Ikhlas with meaning.

 Exercises on Makharij al-Huruf Throughout the Memorized Four Surahs.

Session-5:

 Al-Madd: Its definition and practical application of Madd throughout the Memorized Suras.

 Practice & Memorization of Surah al- Lahab with meaning.

Session-6:

 Classification of Madd into „Taba‟ee‟i (يعبط) and „Aridi‟ (يضراع)Muttasil (لصته) and Munfasil (لصفنه), Wajib (بجاو) and Jayez (سئاج), Badal (لذب) and „Iwad (ضىع) with examples

 Practice & Memorization of Surah an- Nasar with meaning.

Session-7:

 Exercises on different types of Madd in the above mentioned Surahs

 Practice & Memorization of Sura Kafiroon with meaning.

Session-8:

 Practice & Memorizatin of Sura Kawther with meaning.

 Taharaat and Najasaat ( ثاساجنلاو ةراهط) Session-9:

 Practice & Memorization of Ayatul Kursi with meaning.

 Mas'alah on Wudu.

 Mas'alah on Gusal.
