ABSTRACT

In this internship period in my daily life I have learned the concept of the Front end design and development. To develop a website there are several programming languages that are in use. Some of them are only used for the frontend and some backend design of the software. For example- HTML3, HTML4, HTML5, CSS, Bootstrap Framework etc. There are also some other programming languages that are used to develop the dynamic functions of the website. For example-PHP, Java etc.

nowadays there are also some framework’s that uses vastly. It is very helpful for our daily life. That is why I choose subject of my report is "Front end Design and Development”. Working inSOFTPIDERadded huge experiences in my upcoming career. Solving real life problems was another key issue. This report takes us through all the details of Front end Design and Development knowledge and experience gathered during this internship period.

CHAPTER1 INTRODUCTION

1.1 Introduction

Design & Development is the most important part of any kind of official work.From the beiginingwerepaper based. It’s a lengthy process, its kills all valuable time. In 21stcentury, where mostof the people are connected with internet, it’s high time to change the applicationsystems. I work with HTML5, CSS, CSS3 and BOOTSTAP. I do many problems andsolve them in my internship period. Firstly I work with

Webpage design and development an other work like font end design, and responsive web design and development.

Here in this report I discuss about my work, experiences and other objectives during the internship period.

1.2Objective

My main objective in this internship is to learn the basic things about the HTML, CSS,andBOOTSTRAP. Internship is about to do the or something like a job training.It gives us the realexperience about the job sector. I am lucky about that I work with SOFTPIDER areputed soft farm here we have work as an intern. Their goal is to train me and make me eligible for the job market. It is well known for their services and the relationship making between their customers. It’s a good work place and good for the intern student Because they get at a time training and job sector experiences. It benefited us both of the sides.

1.3 Motivation

As I work with SOFTPIDER here I learn about webpage design and development.

They motivate me to build up my career into webpage design and development. As I amlucky to get training from them and work with them. As though I work with webpagedesign and development here I discuss about my motivation into webpage design anddevelopment.In the world of webpage design and development I have HTML, CSS, Bootstrap,basicJavaScript,and PHP. but my main work is with webpage design and development. PHP is free andopen source. Here one can do at his heart content and he getsWebpage design and development is not only the programming language but also it is awell known and most widely used. There is a wide scope for

webpage design anddevelopment a days. So why don’t I get that opportunity. In the whole world web pagedesign and development is a big marketing and market for programmer and computerengineer.In SOFTPIDER I get all the facilities and work environment and also get theopportunity to build of my career. It provides all Linux based work and courses and as aninternee I get all of this from them. So it motivates me so much to build up my career intoWebpage design and development.

I finished my internship from the very reputed it company name SOFTPIDER LTD. is a professional Software Development & Web Solutions provider Company of Bangladesh founded in 2012 and managed by a group of professionals. It offers wide range of Business Solution along with Management Consulting Service for corporates or individuals. It has wide experience of working on different Platform from Proprietary to Open Source along with several devise base. Company's main services include Offshore Software Development, Database Application Implementation and Maintenance. Web Application and Portal maintenance, Graphics Design work with onsite Support and service. SOFTPIDER is a professional Software Development &

Web Solutions provider Company of Bangladesh founded in 2012 and managed by a group of professionals. It offers wide range of Business Solution along with Management Consulting Service for corporates or individuals. 1.6 Report Layout

In my report I have discussed all basic concepts of Front end design and development inchapter 1. In Chapter 2 I have given brief description about the IT Company and its offered services and also the company’s roles in the job market. It’s very important forthis report content because I take my internee from a very reputed company and I havegiven detailed description of that company. In chapter 3 I have added about a short noteabout problem and solutions of Web page Design, and testing. I have given the detailed descriptionAbout my assigned Responsibilities, work Environment and perform tasks in chapter 4.In chapter 5 I have given the concluding remarks and also future scope of my work.

Information Technology (IT) for local clients and abroad. It offers Automated Business Solution along with Management Consulting Service to serve the customer requirement from the very root level.

It offers wide range of Business Solution along with Management Consulting Service forcorporates or individuals. Web Application and Portal maintenance, GraphicsDesign work with on-site Supportanddservice. Domain solution and web hosting – This company provide domain service forauniqueinternet service. In World Wide Web no one can’t use same name so it need unique name. If one have a business site on the internet so the domain name is ones internet name.Igives a unique looks to one’s business.

2.5 ROLES IN JOB MARKET

In this company they trained the Web Page Design and Development professional courselike HTML, CSS,basicPHP,JavaScript and BOOTSTAP. As an intern I trained in thebasic things in Front end Design. Front end Design and Development is the world mostplatform. So there is huge space for do many things. It’s a popular so huge scope forbuild ones career. Front end Design and Development are in now hot demand in jobmarket. There is a high demand for professional Web Developer trained person.

TASK PROJECTS AND ACTIVITIES

3.1 Training Attended

We know that all time training is very much important for us, here training is very important for internship period is the first stage, when an intern student faces any problem during internship, then it is mandatory to provide training for address the problem and find the solution. If problem has been identified & training can be solving the problem. The training can be described skills, concepts, gain knowledge to improved performance in internship environment. I was attend SOFTPIDER for my training.

Those training I was complete when I was attend SOFTPIDER.[3]

In SOFTPIDER it they assigned us many work and responsibility. As I work here as an intern they also give me some works.As I work here for four month so they divided my work in a roster. In first day I work with the basic knowledge of Firstly I work with Webpage design introduction and then I start with the process called and other smallwork like font end design NetBeans installation process. In 3rd day after installation I create user information from account and get my password. As I tell you in SOFTPIDER. I have specific computers for each use.So it good to be having a user account.

Then I started with development and file directory. As the flow of time we finished all our webpage design and development based work.

7 3.3 Work Environment

The work environment in SOFTPIDERLTD is very good. As their policy is to make good relationship between the customers they maintain it through their employee as though their intern student. The instrument and the facility in SOFTPIDERLTD are very well established. They use al modern technologies and upgraded instrument.

Theytrained us in a very ethical way. We all have one each computer .they have well decorated IT room with full security. At the end I can say that I am very lucky to finishmy intern in such a company.

3.4Work and Life Balance

SOFTPIDER gives us Work Life Balance. This company gives me balance between personal life and working time. This company gives me many sacrifice when I need help for my personal life. My off day at office they do not call me at office. This company having sense of balance will improve job satisfaction. For this reason all employee like this reason.

3.5Recognition for Hard Work

This company helps me to understand organizational behavior management in professional life. This company encourages certain behaviors in a person. All employee gives their effort and its help us recognition for hard work SOFTPIDER give me know recognition for hard work.

3.6Training and Development

SOFTPIDER give me training & development skills when change is more rampant ever before, it's necessary for organizations keep along with changes and train employees. This company manage many training session for the employee.

3.7Potential Team Spirit

Normally we such support from our group and organization. For any organizations team work is most important. Its help find out a problem discuss together and also we can solve the problem .This type of work make unity and every employee working for that. Everybody working towards to achieve a bigger goal and works as a team. I was learning strong team spirit from SOFTPIDER.

Working that have been completed plus the completed portions of work packages already performed. This company I have many tasks performed in SOFTPIDER, those are given bellow.

3.9 Implementation Tools, Software & Framework

After getting all resource available in the knowledge and skills about those materials, thefollowing tools were selected to accomplish the project:

now I will go to discuss all the tools, software & framework what I used.

HTML5

HTML5 is also mark-up language, which represent structures and contents and World Wide Web. This is another and the latest format of HTML having more qualities, features, tag etc. which made website to be created more attractive. This is made for usermore comfortable on different browsers on different device.[5]

9 CSS

The first CSS specification has become an official W3C recommendation in December1996. Some features of CSS are:

1. Font properties such as typeface and emphasis, color of text, backgrounds and other element.

2. Text attributes such as spacing between words, letters and line of text.

3. Align of text, image, table and other elements.

4. Margin, border, padding and positioning for most elements.

5. Unique identification and generic classification of groups of attributes.

CSS level 2 was developed by the W3C in May 1998, Superset of CSS, CSS2 includes anumber of new capabilities like absolute, relative and fixed positing of elements and zindex, the concept of media types, support for aural style sheets and bidirectional text andnew font properties such as shadows.

CSS3

CSS3 is the latest version of CSS specification. But you cannot say directly that CSS3 isJust a reference to new feature of CSS, it’s a third level in progress in the CSS specification.There are more features about CSS3 then CSS like additional sectors, drop shadows,rounded corners, and multiple backgrounds, animations, transparency and much more.

BOOTSTRAP

In the earlier days of Twitter, engineers face too much difficulty to scale and maintain theindividual applications. Because the used almost any library they were familiar with tomeet front-end requirements. They were looking for its solution to these challenges.Hence they quickly accelerated during Twitter’s first Heckweck. By the end ofHeckweck, they had reached a stable version which engineers could use across thecompany.Bootstrap has grown significantly to encompass basic styles, elegant and durable frontend design patterns with the help and feedback of many engineers. This release representsfirst public 1.0 release and the open sourcing of many months of hard work.[7]

10 Why Bootstrap?

Bootstrap is just thought CSS at its core, but it’s built with a flexible pre-processor thatoffers much more power and flexibility than regular CSS. We gain a range of featureslike nested declarations, variables, mixings, operations and color functions;

anyway,since Bootstrap is just purely CSS when compiled via less, I gain two important benefits.

Firstly Bootstrap is very easy to important like just dropping it in the code and go.

Second, once complied, Bootstrap contains nothing but CSS, meaning there are no superfluous images, Flash, or JavaScript. All that remains is simple and powerful CSS foryour web development needs.

Why It Works

Bootstrap usually works by providing a uniform solution to the most common, everydayinterface tasks developers come across. At Twitter, It has become one of the most populartools when starting new applications and sites. It’s very extensive, easy and flexible towork for many unique design needs. And the popularity of bootstrap has been enrichedday by day.

PHP

PHP is actually server-side scripting language. It stands for Hypertext Preprocessor.

Early of its invention, it has been called personal home page. This a powerful tool to make dynamic and interactive web pages, this is the widely used, free tools to make a website.

1. PHP is a widely-used, free, and efficient alternative to competitors such as Microsoft’s ASP.

2. PHP code can be simply mixed with any other languages like html or varioustemplate engines or web frameworks.

3. PHP is the most popular web language to the developers for having a huge benefitof it.

There many frameworks working with PHP. Besides Symphony, Zend, Codeigniter arealso popular now a days working with PHP code.Despite its popularity, no written specification or standard exists for the PHP language;instead, the canonical PHP

interpreter server as a de facto standard. However, work oncreating a formal specification has started in 2014.[4]

3.10 Testing

Testing is very important technique for accessing the quality of a software product. It is aprocess to analyze the existing and required condition of the system and to evaluate thefeatures of the system. This activity should be done throughout the whole developmentprocess.

3.4.1 Testing Process

There are two basic classes of testing. The basic difference of these two classes, clarifiedby the definition below:

1. Off-white box testing or functional testing is the testing that ignores the internalmechanism of system and focuses on the output generated.

2. White box testing or structural testing is the testing that takes into account the internal mechanism of a system.

INTERNSHIP OUTCOMES

4.1 PROBLEMS AND SOLUTIONS

I have an internship on web page design and development from SOFTPIDER. From thisinternship I can learn about basic command. The internship gives me the confident for thefuture. Some problems were found during internship which are given below-

1. Database design and database normalization

Solutions: My team leader and project manager help me how to create, design, anddiagram creation and complete.

2. MVC model and CI framework

Solution: It’s very important to full knowledge about MVC model. Model View andcontroller. Codegenetor is this kind of framework. In their scion is help me how itswork and give me simple task for that. Complete a simple project using and this waymy practical knowledge is clear.

3. Work with database and form

Solution: Using this framework attach the database and work with dynamic process.

In 21st century we have many challenges. There is h professional and they have many skills. So to stay on this job market one need to have extra course and certification. In this case PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript and BOOTSTAP etc. certification and training gives you an extra spice. Now a day there is huge demand in programmer Development certification. It open many scope to build ones career. For this

curriculum in Bangladesh there is a huge scope to get certification and training. So if one want to build his career in development need to all this certification and training.

Al the end one is ready to build his career and have the confident to fetch new challenges.Though Challenges Ecommerce have many problems. Like,

1. Implementing a content marketing strategy

Although content marketing has been a buzzword in recent years, not many online businesses know how to implement it effectively. In fact, only 42 percent of B2B marketers believe they are effective with their content marketing efforts.

2. Building trust through your website

Especially for e-commerce businesses, your website is the very first impression customers have of your product. If you have a poorly designed website, there’s a high chance you’ll lose traffic and even customers.

Big data is a growing trend in e-commerce and online marketing. Big data enables businesses to gather insights about their customers through monitoring their purchasinghabits and decisions.

4. Integrating mobile into your website

Research shows mobile shopping accounts for nearly one-fourth of online purchases.

Lastyear, mobile commerce sales reached $4.7 billion in the second quarter. Although mobilecommerce is growing; there are not enough online retailers who are adapting to thesetrends. For those who fail to optimize their shopping experience, they will fall behind inonline sales.Every e-commerce business has its unique challenges, however, these are some manyface. By taking note of these challenges, even the smallest online business can becomesuccessful and continue to grow in the upcoming years.

CONCLUSION AND FUTURE CAREER

1.1 Discussion and Conclusion

In this site I work with Codeigniter framework. Which work in MVC model.

MVCmeans model view control. This work is help me to progress in logical and fundamentalincrement of my work process.I work with bootstrap for the responsive site design. HTML5for advance level work and PHP sever site language for light waste my work in live. Icomplete this data base and wrote all of my query in model.

This work help me to increasemy database knowledge. Any kind of PHP logical or scintecticl problem can solve usingthis server language. It’s very good luck for me that I work with project.All in all I improve my logic, database knowledge and front end design. Not onlyfrontend design but also complete my back end design, diagram, apply. After completemy project I am completely get many kind of experience in programming. And I hope itsneed to my future.

1.2 FUTURE SCOPE

My aim is to integrate this application with the site of Front end Design and Development for the service so that the people will be highly benefitted because of having real time data about the scope. I want to add some features in this application.The project has been done doesn’t mean that it’s just a start of this project.

Hence thereare some plans too to develop it later. Hopefully the system will be updated regularly asuser requisition. And I always, will try to make this project better and better so that thissystem can be one of the easiest online systems to use for all kind of users.To work witha dynamic and free stable software and also in a challenging environment where there isan opportunity of self-improvement technique, individual and group based work thatcreate ultimate leaders who lead the job market and gives one this opportunity.it is goodto develop and rise in high for a person or for an organization to go in such a high scope.

So the future scope and opportunity in build career in PHP, HTML, CSS, and BOOTSTAP. From Bangladesh is very high. So if one wants to go his aim point get trained in PHP Codeigniter frame work. And get the certificate to fetch success.
