I solemnly declare that the work of this internship report titled "Factors Influencing Outbound Medical Travel from Bangladesh" is one of my key works under the supervision of Dr.

The practice of medical tourism is usually very popular in both rich and developing countries, and it is gradually becoming a legitimate tourist component. The purpose of this conceptual debate is to examine the growth of medical travel in Bangladesh with specific emphasis on its current characteristics and potential effects. The growth of medical tourism typically depends on several elements, including greater access to transportation, complementary tourism facilities, industry-oriented information sharing, and generally higher quality service offerings.

The study also provides some important recommendations to help create policies that would accelerate the development of this industry.

There are also a number of more complicated surgeries available in the country, such as liver transplants. However, patients have turned to other nations for these services due to widespread ignorance caused by the lack of information transfer. In Bangladesh there is no adequate policy for evaluation of medical and nursing r.

In addition to the information not being updated often, there is no system in place for patients to rate a doctor's past performance. Beyond that, malpractice and serious misconduct rarely result in the revocation of a physician's license. Hospitals and private doctors can take advantage of patients because national medical organizations such as the Bangladesh Medical Association (BMA) are inactive and the Ministry of Health has little interest in stopping ethical malpractice.

Patient trust must be gained through standardized assessment procedures within the sector for medical tourism to grow. Cross-border distribution, consumption abroad, commercial presence and mobility of health personnel are the most common forms of exchange. On the positive side, it can lead to improvements in the infrastructure, technological capacity and healthcare standards of the healthcare exporter.

Medical tourism can be an important way for countries importing health care services to overcome resource constraints, especially for specialized health care services. Trade in health services, however, can also lead to a dual market structure or exacerbate these trends already present in the health care system (18). As a result, it can lead to the development of higher and more expensive health care facilities that serve a select group of affluent locals, while the vast majority are served by lower quality facilities, as evidenced by the recent influx of hospitals designed in Dhaka.

Recommends unnecessary medical tests for disease diagnosis; irregular drug supplies in hospitals; irregular caretaker monitoring of patients; lack of specialists; not giving the right treatment the first time; long waiting times; negative word-of-mouth deterring others from seeking treatment in the nation; fails to answer patients' questions; and lack of security. Besides this, the low accessibility to hospitals; shortage of doctors and nurses; the presence of additional payments (bribes) at all service levels; and undercapacity and exorbitant costs of excellent hospital services (Hasan, 2015).
