Annual Report 2021
CENTRE FOR PEACE AND JUSTICE
BRAC UNIVERSITY
1
It is with great pleasure that I present the annual report of the Centre for Peace and Justice after the completion of its 4th year.
Despite the dislocation caused by the pandemic, CPJ has experienced significant growth both in terms of activities and team size. CPJ has projected its voice for social justice by way of research and advocacy – during the year it has published seven research papers, seven policy briefs, and one briefing paper. Six major advocacy events were held.
We have also developed an informative new website, which better reflects our work and have developed new ways to present ourselves to the rest of the world. Our social media footprint has increased significantly and we now have thousands of CPJ followers across multiple platforms.
CPJ team is excited about the future activities, particularly its groundbreaking refugee and peace café programmes. I take this opportunity to acknowledge the generous support from our various academic partners, donors, public sector institutions and Brac University leadership.
Finally, I thank my hardworking CPJ team members for their incredible dedication and comradeship.
