In Bangladesh, "civil society" and "good governance" have recently emerged among academics and activists as debatable topics. Some civil society researchers perceive it as a "space" independent of the state and the market (Cohen and Arato, 1992).

NagorikUddyog (NU)

In general, the functions of civil society organizations in Bangladesh include expressing interest to social groups and raising awareness of key issues to influence policy and decision-making. This section will specifically focus on the activities carried out by three leading civil society organizations in Bangladesh, namely NagorikUddog, SUPRO and Shujon, which facilitate the process of good governance.

Access to Justice

NU works to empower women and promote their effective participation in Shalish proceedings and other community decision-making processes and activities. Over the years, NU has supported members of Grassroots Women Leaders (GWLN) networks and Citizen Rights Groups (CRGs) to enhance their leadership skills so that they can actively engage if any rights violations occur. of man at the local level.

Rights of Dalits, Excluded, Marginalized and Indigenous Communities

SUPRO

SUPRO worked together with the local organizations on areas of political, economic, social, environmental aspects so that economic and social justice can be established in the state and in society (SUPRO, 2019). SUPRO disseminated the results of the pre- and post-budget discussions with the relevant stakeholders.

SHUJON

Of course, it would not be wise to dismiss the fact that certain elements of good governance exist in the country (Panday, 2017). State Prerogatives, Civil Society, and Liberalization: The Paradoxes of the Late Twentieth Century in the Third World.

Sustainable Livelihood Adaptation of Rohingya within the Camp Area: A Case Study

Implications of Michel Foucault's ideas on Power, Subjectification, and Resistance in

Ethnographic Analysis: an Overview

Her work thus provides a detailed account of the production of subject and subjectivation based on Foucauldian notions of modern power and governance. In parallel, the three forms of objectification ensure that power is invested in the individual and social bodies of the population through governmental technologies.

Unemployment Tension in Bangladesh

Dimensions and Trends

If we look at the percentage (Figure 2) of unemployment, we can find that about 50.8% of the total unemployed are aged 15. The figure also shows that the percentage of women in the labor force (35%) is higher than that of men. (30.1%). The employment rate is 3.2 percent but the labor force growth rate is greater than the employment rate.

Public and private sector investments are one of the main sources of employment. More industries need to be set up to create employment opportunities, but the investment climate in the country is not conducive. It is true that the majority of young people are unemployed and belong to the old-age dividend.

Government-Third Sector Collaboration in the Public Work Management: The Case Study of the Philippines

Furthermore, this case study is representative of efficient action on the premise of government-third sector collaboration. Abra was one of the remote and isolated regions in the Philippines, gripped by a multifaceted problem. It was simply a step taken by the government to join trusted local groups in the monitoring and evaluation process.

This article has theoretically analyzed a case of collaborative initiative in public policy management with reference to the policy management of the Philippine government in the Abra region from 1986-1990. The collaboration between government and the third sector in Abra has thus been an example of mainstreaming local citizens into policy management. A large part of this collaboration is the involvement of different types of actors in the policy subsystems.

It establishes a kind of horizontal accountability where local people are entrusted with the policy cycle.

Long-run Effect of Budget Deficits on Interest Rates in Bangladesh: Dynamic Specification

The cointegration analysis is performed to infer the long-run relationship between variables in the model. For the model-II, the sign of the estimated coefficients of all explanatory variables at 1 and 2 period time lag are both significant at 5% level, except. This means that the speed at which the rate of variation of the nominal interest rateslnrn, the dependent variable in all the models of the vector error correction system, adjusts to the single long-run cointegrating relationship differs from zero.

At this point, the government budget deficit as a percentage of GDP, inDEFt, enters the model-II as exogenous variables. The sign of the estimated coefficient of budget deficit lnDEF is positive and statistically significant and indicates that the ever increasing government budget deficit is associated with increases in the nominal interest rateslnrn of Bangladesh. On the contrary, growth rate of money supply, lnM2t, enters the model-IV as exogenous variables.

The sign of the estimated coefficient of inflation rate - lnINFt is positive and statistically significant and indicates that the rising inflation rate is associated with increases in the nominal interest rateslnrnof Bangladesh due to increasing money supply.

Impact of Environmental Quality on Healthcare Expenditures in Bangladesh

The main objective of the study is to examine the relationship between environmental excellence and healthcare expenditure in Bangladesh. In the equation (3) above, the sum term (∑) illustrates the short-term dynamics and the term 's shows the long-term relationships of the variables. It is found that all variables are normally distributed because the Jarque-Bera ratio is significant.

The Jarque-Bera test did not reject H0 for the normal distribution of all the variables. Having paid for cointegration flanked by the regressor and regressend variables in the long run, one now tries to figure out the short-run dynamics of the model. To ensure the short-term dynamics of the model, the ECT coefficient should be pessimistic with a significant.

The results of the study indicate that there is a constructive relationship between environmental quality and health care expenditures.

A Univariate Approach to Forecast Inflation

Evidence from Bangladesh

This means that it must capture all the time series characteristics of the process of interest. If there is still time series information in the residuals, then the model does not capture all the time series information in the systematic part. Therefore, the first step in the process begins with testing for stationarity of the series.

If the time series plot shows that the data are horizontally distributed around a constant mean, then the series is stationary at. Table-1 shows the result of both statistical tests described in the methodology section. In the context of forecasting, this model is a reasonable approximation of the conditional expectation of the series-.

A Review of the Behaviors of Technical Analysis Based on Selected Shares of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE)

A review of the behavior of technical analysis based on selected stocks of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE). There are mainly two different types of stock valuation techniques used by stock analysts, namely fundamental analysis and technical analysis. Jackson (2006) pointed out that technical analysis is essentially an umbrella term for a myriad of technical indicators.

Technical analysis is the process of analyzing market (price) action and using past data in charts to attempt to predict the most likely outcome of the future. The main objective of this study is to predict the future price movements of stock prices through technical analysis and help investors make investment decisions in different sectors. The primary objective of this study was to predict the future price movement of stock prices; However, empirical results show that when considering stocks listed on the DSE, technical analysis plays the most important role in the DSE.

The significance of the technical analysis model thus challenges the random walk hypothesis with respect to stocks listed on the DSE.

Demand for Primary Health Care Services

Evidence from Rural Bangladesh

The specific aim of the study is to identify the determinants of the demand for CC healthcare services. Women may choose CC more because of the proximity of the CC to the community. Education level of the employee is only significant at 10 percent level in all specifications.

The study found mixed responses among respondents on the effectiveness of service delivery. Age: The age of the service seeker can also play a vital role in requesting CC services.

Financial Structure of Bangladesh

Bank-based versus Market-based Analysis

- Size: Financial size is a measure of the size of the bank relative to the stock market. -Activity: Financial activity is a measure of the activity of banks in relation to the activity of stock exchanges. Financial efficiency: Financial efficiency is a measure of the efficiency of banks relative to the efficiency of stock markets.

MTR = Stock market turnover ratio which means the ratio of the value of the total shares traded and the market capitalization. Figure-3 presents the scenario of the financial size of the banking system in relation to the stock market in Bangladesh. Population and Development: An Analysis of the Policy of Bangladesh

In this context, the study classifies the aspects of policy development that will be very favorable to understand the development orientation in a specific way. After the failures of the target fixed in Population Policy 2004, Bangladesh Population Policy 2012 has been taken into action. The activities of various institutions will be coordinated for the proper implementation of the policy along with the application of modern digital information technology.

Institutional Management: Institutional management will also be focused on the implementation of population policy and capacity building. The Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) set eight goals in 2000 with specific targets and deadlines (2015) for the development of the world's poorest people. In line with this, the National Action Plan is being drawn up for effective implementation of the Policy.

The policy objective articulates that various types of plans and strategies will be adopted for the transformation of human beings into human resources with the help of concerned ministries.
