  • How to conduct class with Inclusive Learning System

We want to see the improvement result among our students during the implementation of inclusive learning in our last semester (July to January) 2019. So, firstly, we need to ensure that all students in our institution practice inclusive learning structure. All semesters in all departments at Daffodil Polytechnic Institution will take classes under the structure of Inclusive Learning Cell.

To implement the entire structure of an inclusive learning cell, -To successfully achieve the mission and vision. Placing more emphasis on the relationships within your classroom will create a more inclusive learning environment with your students. Develop a generative environment with future engagement: Inclusive learning increases inner talent to create a more productive environment.

Face-to-face class: With the rules of inclusive learning system, every class should take face-to-face basis.

Class Structure

Focus on (Teacher + Student) relation and respect: There is a saying that,

Teachers should also show respect to students so that they get respect and attachment in return. Teachers should use soft words and then talk to students, otherwise students will be afraid that the teachers will understand their lesson. Outdoor lessons: As we said, we have to think out of the box so that our class should also take outdoor lessons.

Outdoor lessons also help to increase students' personal and social communication skills, improve mental and spiritual health, be more attentive, increase learning ability, help discover inner talent, include more extra curriculum activities and add more interesting topics . Standard Indoor Classroom: Provide adequate space for a classroom where no more than 25 to 30 students are allowed in one class at a time. To ensure the quality of students, teachers must first ensure a standard classroom and implement an inclusive learning system.

Hands-on learning experience: Hands-on learning experience helps enhance students' learning experience, hands-on active participation, creativity, ideas and thinking.

  • Teaching Structure

Questions may come from students: it is not mandatory that questions always come from the teacher first. If students ask the question based on a related question, it may arise from asking a conversation. The more students can ask questions, the more they learn how to solve them.

Topic related and reliable basic question: We should also teach our students, whatever question they want to ask, it should have existence, reliable and related to a specific topic. Topic related and reliable basic questions ensure the quality of students and provide solution to their problems. Example, Reference and Practical Basic Question: Sometimes quality and reliable question depends on example, reference and practical basic question.

The more students ask the question with example, reference and practical basis, the more they can meet the actual facts and get clear massage.

Learning Method

Teachers Learning Model

I must read: First of all, students must read about the topic, then they can easily understand the topic and watch the lecture. So here it will be delightfully full for our students if they have to practice 'I'm going to read'. If students already know the topic by reading, then they can easily adopt the lesson.

Whatever they do exercise they need to see exercise should believe in real reliable information. Students should first listen to opposition and then give feedback based on what they listen to. I have to do: After listening, students must first do or give feedback on whatever they are listening to.

Learn to

In the inclusive learning cell it is very important to make a strong and flexible communication with each other. Their involvement will help us easily achieve our goal and implement the inclusive learning system. If parents are also concerned about the cell of comprehensive learning, then it will be easier to take care that our students follow the comprehensive system.

In our inclusive learning research, it shows that the involvement of parents improves students' social skills, manners, behavior, grade advancement and achievements. Teachers will make subjective lesson plan: Teachers will make subjective lesson plan using the method of inclusive learning. Student will make subjective lesson plan: Students will also make subjective lesson plan using the method of inclusive learning.

So, teachers should take care of every student and including everyone in this learning process.

Visual teaching structure

So that after the end of the semester, students can measure the percentage or ratio of how well they fulfill their role based on the lesion plan. If they manage to complete their lesson plan, they can follow the procedure and develop themselves for next time. Focus on skills instead of throwing the ball: Teachers should focus on skills and bring out inner talent in students.

Teachers should avoid the transition of the reading style, the traditional style and the need to emphasize the growth of skills and knowledge. So if the students do not achieve the grades, but the list, they try to achieve it. Outdoor classes, learning experience, practical visits, visual classes, classes with full quality standards etc. make the learning system more fun and enjoyable.

Discussion teaching structure

The discussion teaching structure is a direct face-to-face teaching method, where information leads to exchange, finding the right balance of facts, allows our students to think more about a certain topic, create new ideas through discussion. By sharing or discussing information, it makes more skills through collaborative learning, ideas that the group can relate to how much constructivist knowledge they can create.

Practical teaching structure

Student role

Assessment of performance: major student's role is to actively participate in curriculum and achieve their desire goal. Get involved in extracurricular: Getting involved in extracurricular activities improves student's ability to do any task. Think out of the box: think out of the box brings to our student's inner talent, creativity, ideas, thinking, generates quality.

At Påskelilje Polytechnic Institute outdoor class, outdoor games, talent hunt programme, inclusive class, industry visits are the realistic example of thinking outside the box. Our students are free to think new meaningful ideas, independent to take risks and develop their ability to solve problems. Refresh: Once all the requirements are met, they need to refresh their skills to improve the skills and achieve more.

Every year, the STEP program, ICT carnival, the project of honest refreshment of students and groom our students for their better career.

Teachers Role

Support materials - To implement an inclusive learning cell, we need support materials for the appropriate class. If students want to progress and increase their knowledge, performance, skills, abilities through the creation, use and management of technological resources, then they must use the technological base of teaching. Budget for student rewords - Praise is a great motivation for students to build their bright future one step ahead.

Sometimes teachers give words based on active participation of students, extracurricular activities etc. Teachers need the availability of a computer - because today's computer is a blessing for every field of work. Computer equipment helps teachers in creating a lesson plan, laboratory experiments, planning tasks, improving communication.

Ensure quality rather than quantity- Campus should also be concerned about quality rather than quantity.

Findings

Traditional learning and education systems pose a huge barrier when dealing with new learning systems. Traditional thinking in the teaching and learning system of both teachers and students creates barriers. Proper training of the faculty members is not enough to develop an inclusive learning system at DPI.

The inclusive learning system in Daffodil Polytechnic Institution is not satisfactory due to efficiently trained staff. Due to a lack of proper monitoring and management, the outcome of ILC is not properly measured.
