This is to certify that this project and thesis entitled "Design and Hardware Implementation of Digital Car Parking System" is achieved with the help of the following students under my direct supervision and this work was completed by methods for them in the laboratories of the Department. of Electrical and Electronic Engineering under the Faculty of Engineering of Daffodil International University in partial success of the requirements for the degree of Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Electronic Engineering. At that point, we might like to take this chance to show our gratitude and thanks to our project supervisor Md. Rahatul Islam Udoy, Lecturer of Department of EEE for his dedication to support, encourage and manage us through this project.

Everything in the advanced world is programmed, we have developed a method that can then detect the entry and exit of vehicles through the entrance and then show the number of vehicles in the parking lot. This mechanized vehicle parking system reduces the time taken to monitor the space for vehicles by displaying the accessible parking spaces on an LCD screen using infrared (IR) sensors introduced at the entry and exit. Automatic gate opens when the parking spaces are empty and a vehicle appears in front of the parking gate.

If the parking slot is full and a car appears in front of the gate, the park gate will not open automatically. In this case the screen will show "Slots are full, Slots are not available" This project is created using ATmega328 microcontroller.

The project is implemented with Arduino Nano, LCD screen, IR sensor, servo motor and potentiometer. When a car or vehicle drives in or out, the IR sensor sends the signal to Arduino and Arduino drives the servo motor and it's like when an IR sensor in a parking slot sends signals to Arduino and Arduino sends 1 or 0 signals.

When looking at the parking administrator, the future parking example can be expected without much calculation from the data compiled from the Smart Parking System.

The parking charges can also be based on the data to improve the association benefits. The vehicle owners also benefit from the system on the basis that the framework consequently shows parking accessible, which simply reduces the amount of vehicle making a trip and an opportunity to look for an accessible place. With data provided by the framework, vehicle drivers can undoubtedly try not to leave what is full and find the parking space that is empty.

Some other interesting things can be effective and productive in the room, as well as neighborhood air conditioning in the parking lot. This framework eliminates the need for vehicle owners to move around the parking lot looking for a place to stop and climb stairs or remember where they left their vehicle.

Daffodil International University 12 A liquid crystal display (LCD) is a flat display that uses the light-changing properties of a liquid display. VCC is the power that provides the display for which we connect the 5 volt pin to the Arduino. By using an essential voltage divider with a potentiometer, we can complement the separation well.

The RS pin allows the Arduino to tell the display if it is sending commands or data. For example, when an RS pin is set LOW, we send requests to the display (such as move the cursor to a certain location, clear the presentation, put away the display, etc.) We also communicate data / notes to the display when the RS pin is set to HIGH. The monitor R/W (read/write) pin is for controlling whether you are examining information from the LCD monitor or creating data to the LCD monitor.

Which indicates that when this pin is set LOW, the display does not respond to what is new with R/W, RS and the data carrier lines;. Connect the VCC to the line, to the next GND and the voltage between the pins will vary from 0 to VCC depending on the pot. Daffodil International University 20 The above block diagram consists of an Arduino Nano, power supply, IR sensor, servo motor and LCD display. A 12 volt adapter was used as the power supply and that 12 volts was taken off by a five volt IC. 7th IR sensor was used in block diagram by which the presence of any vehicles was determined.

The gate's IR sensor will detect if any car is available at the gate. If a car is available, it will go to the next step and if a car is not available, it will go back to the beginning. If the slot is available, the port will be opened automatically and if not, the port will not be opened.

If the car is already parked, the number of cars will increase and if the car leaves the park, the number of cars will decrease. Daffodil International University 22 A number of components were used in the circuit, notably the IR sensor, the Arduino Nano and the LCD display. Two IR sensors are used for exit and entrance gates and five IR sensors are used for slots.

The IR sensor has three pins as one ground, one VCC pin and the other output pin. Input and output status, available slot status are all shown on the screen. After completing the task according to this part, our device will be prepared to play the basic basic thing of this section to fabricate the calculation that we used in our gadget.

Along these lines, the main goal of this section was to understand the algorithm and the connection framework we used in our device.

The simplicity of the use of line helps it to become the victim of a full determination of people, because fill with a little knowledge of instrumentality can also use it without coat any job. This automated car parking method enables the parking of vehicles and thus reduces the reading assumed to stop the location to be misused by displaying the field where the area for parking can be retrieved on an LCD representation by using IR sensors at the entrance .
