The jobs are offered primarily because of the skills demonstrated by the students and the seamless processing provided by ULAB. The role of the Proctor is to ensure enforcement of the rules and regulations of the University. The Communications Office of the University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) facilitates the communication of ULAB's mission, values, objectives, training and facilities to ULAB's internal, external and future partners.

However, pre-registration for the next term takes place in the tenth week of the current term. Attendance and impression/participation in the classroom can also form a serious component of assessment. Upon receipt of the complete application, the Controller of Examinations will forward the relevant documents to the relevant Dean.

Infringement The ULAB logo, publications, audio-visual productions and other media materials are the official property of the university. Behavior Behavior on or off campus that tarnishes the image of the University is an act of undesirable behavior. Cyberbullying is 'the use of electronic communication to bully a person.' It falls under this policy if the bullying is between students, AND takes place on university premises OR adversely affects the safety of students while at university.

The Office of Student Affairs will attend all hearings as a representative on behalf of the students and will make recommendations to the Disciplinary Committee. At the end of the study period, each student will receive a study report containing the student's achievements. Any violation of the “ULAB Code of Conduct” will result in automatic disqualification from a position on the Board, if not from membership in the Club.

Students must complete each of the area-specific core courses before taking concentration courses. Students must complete a minimum of four graduate-level concentration courses (3 credits each) from one of the specialization areas. These three concentration courses (3 credits each) allow students to specialize in each of the specific areas.

Of the 21 courses offered as electives, students in the 1-year MA program will choose 4 and those in the 2-year program will choose 8 (of which 4 must be prerequisites). Of the 17 courses offered as electives, students in the 1-year MA program will choose 4 and those in the 2-year program will choose 8 (of which 4 must be prerequisites). Of the 14 courses offered as electives, students in the 1-year MA program will choose 4 and those in the 2-year program will choose 8 (of which 1 must be a prerequisite for the chosen workshop).

The Center also aims to further contribute to the university's academic mission by creating a platform for generating and disseminating new knowledge in the field of foreign language learning.

ULAB Sexual Harassment Policy

The officer, supervisor, advisor, proctor or Office of Student Affairs is responsible for taking prompt action to address harassment once a formal, written complaint has been filed. The Student Affairs Office maintains contacts with the ULAB student(s) involved and sits with the student(s) during the hearings of the disciplinary committee. For minor incidents, the Proctor's Office may resolve the matter summarily with the consent of both parties;

The offender may be summoned by the Commission to a hearing and record his version of the incident. The committee can submit the case to the disciplinary committee at any time during the investigation. In case of a false or frivolous complaint, the Commission may recommend disciplinary action/action against the complainant.

Any accuser whose allegations are found to be false and made with malicious intent will be subject to disciplinary action. No student, employee, applicant or member of the public shall be subject to restraint, interference, coercion or retaliation for action taken in good faith to seek advice regarding sexual harassment/assault, to file a report. The investigation committee will complete the investigation within 2 (two) weeks of receipt of the complaint and communicate the outcome to the complainant and the accused.

If there is insufficient evidence to substantiate a complaint, no further action will be taken, but the University will support the staff or student in reporting any future incidents of harassment or retaliation. Following the conclusion of the investigation, further support and advice will be available to the complainant and harasser if required. The complaint and the results of the investigation will be recorded in the personal folder of the complainant and the alleged harasser.

Understanding and Avoiding Plagiarism

I understand the meaning of this promise and I acknowledge that failure to fulfill the promise will result in a failing grade. Cheating is defined as: 'The use or attempted use of unauthorized material, information, study aids, or unauthorized collaboration on class exams, take-home exams or other academic exercises.'. Plagiarism is defined as: 'The act of passing off the ideas or writings of another as one's own.'.

False data is 'data that has been fabricated, altered or contrived in such a way as to be intentionally misleading.'. Cheating, presenting someone else's work as one's own, preparing work for use in the affairs of some body, knowingly giving false information about academic matters to a university official is an act of academic dishonesty. In the case of academic dishonesty, the faculty member or the supervisor, if the faculty member refers the matter to him, will adjudicate the matter at an informal student hearing.

If the student accepts responsibility, a failing grade (F) may be awarded for the assignment, exam, quiz, etc., or course for or in connection with which the violation occurred. If the student does not accept responsibility for the offence, the matter must be referred to the Committee [Disciplinary Committee] with a written complaint. The faculty member can also direct the written complaint directly to the Chairman of the Committee.
