MAMI’S DISHES
My mother's Cooking or usually i called "Mami" is a dish with a best cooking i’ve ever tasted if i compare with other dishes. Although mami not cook a food like fine food in restaurants but the ‘homey tastes” sometimes make long if we are going out of town. From Fried rice, Rawon, Pig soy sauce and there are still many other things that mami cook in the taste peculiar to itself. It was not only me, the elder brother and my father also like mami’s dishes. Even though the materials cuisine goods is not material is not too expensive and very easily found at the traditional market, the taste is not inferior to taste of the dishes that have a same type in the famous restaurant. Sometimes, if we are traveling abroad, me and my family brought mami’s dishes that durable and practical to brought as provisions, but i still not found the food as delicious as mami’s dishes.
The fine tastes of my mami’s cooking make my father made an idea, which makes mami a business of food. Mami started to accept a small order. Mami said, even though fortunately not so much, but there are certain satisfaction in it. Nasi jinggo, prasmanan, all of a kind of order mami try to do as well as to learn how cook in many portion
From our small order, now mami and papi is commmitted to open up the restaurant in front of my house. Papi said, in addition to gain advantage, the business is also made to do mami’s hobbies. Names of the places is "Garasi". Garasi served such various dishes from traditional, and non-traditional foods with affordable prices, but also in attractive design to attract visitors also.
"Garasi" was opened from 8 a.m. in early trade up to 10 nights. My father put an officer to be a cashier and in the culinary clearly has become a part mami. Sometimes i help as a servant if there is a time to spare. Did not forget to also promote Garasi to my friends through school and campus. Many my friends paid a visit to Garage and recognize mami’s dishes is delicious indeed, especially menu "Ayam Bumbu Rujak" my friends said.
"Ayam Bumbu Rujak" itself is food from legend recipes in my family. This recipe found mami from my grandmother, namely his mother-in-law itself, or mother from papi. GLENDA AVENIA TULAR
