Total Quality Management (fQM)
adalah sistem manajemen yang menempatkan
kualitas sebagai strategi usaha, melibatkan setiap fungsi dan anggota organisasi, yakni
adanya peran karyawan, peran pimpinan, peran hubungan karyawan dan pimpinan, peran
aspek organisasi, dan peran lingkungan kerja, yang kondusif dalam upaya peningkatan
kualitas somber daya manusia perusahaan.
Masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah bagaimana pengaruh penerapan peran
karyawan, peran pimpinan, peran hubungan karyawan dan pimpinan, peran aspek
organisasi, dan peran lingkungan kerja terhadap kualitas somber daya manusia pada PT.
Sinar Sosro di Medan.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (I) mengetahui pengaruh dari penerapan peran
karyawan, peran pimpinan, peran hubungan karyawan dan pimpinan, peran aspek
organisasi, dan peran lingkungan kerja terhadap kualitas somber daya manusia pada PT.
Sinar Sosro di Medan dan (2) untuk mengetahui variabel mana yang paling dominan
mempengaruhi kualitas somber daya manusia pada PT. Sinar Sosro di Medan.
Teori yang digunakan yaitu teori Total Quality Management dan teori Kualitas
Somber Daya Manusia. Tehnik pengumpulan data primer dengan kuesioner, didukung
dengan wawancara. Sampel dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 94 responden. Penarikan
sampe1 dengan metode Proportional Stratified Random Sampling. Sifat penelitian ini
adalah penelitian eksplanatori yang didukung oleh metode survei. Pendekatan penelitian
deskriptif kuantitatif, dan variabel yang dite1iti diukur dengan rating scale. Pengolahan
data menggunakan perangkat lunak SPSS versi 12,00 dengan analisa deskriptif dan
pengujian hipotesis menggunakan analisis regresi linier
berganda,
Koefisien Determinasi (R
2)adalah sebesar 0,536. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa
variabel-variabel bebas yang diteliti rnampu menjelaskan 53,6%terhadap kualitas somber
daya manusia, sementara sisanya 46,4% dije1askan oleh variabel-variabe1 bebas lairmya
yang tidak diteliti, Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa (1) secara serempak terdapat
pengaruh yang positif dan signifikan antara peran karyawan, peranpimpinan, peran
hubungan karyawan dan pimpinan, peran aspek organisasi, dan peran lingkungan kerja
terhadap kualitas somber daya manusia (2) secara parsial terdapat pengaruh yang positif
dan signifikan peran karyawan, peran pimpinan, dan peran lingkungan kerja terhadap
kualitas somber daya manusia. Peran pimpinan mempunyai .pengaruh yang paling
dominan terhadap kualitas somber daya manusia pada PT. Sinar Sosro di Medan.

Total Quality Management is a management system that placing quality as a
business strategy and involving each function
and members of an organization to
enhance human resource's quality. Involving each function and members of an
organization mean each of the employees' role, leader's role, employee and leader
relationship's role, organizational aspect's role, and job environment's role to raised
human resource quality in organization.
The problem of this research is : how effect of employee's role, leader's role,

This research aims to know

and job environment's role to human resource quality at PT. Sinar Sosro in Medan and

to know which variable will be the most dominant to the human resource quality.
The theories to be used are
Total Quality Management theory and Human
Resource Quality theory. The technique of primary data collection were with
questionnaires, supported with interviews. The sample of this research was 94 (ninety
four) respondents. The method of the sampling used on this research is Proportional
Stratified Random Sampling. The research type was explanatory research supported by
survey method, quantitative descripitive research approach, which researched variables
measured with rating scale. The processing of data supported device SPSS version 12,00
with descriptive analysis and hypothesis test uses multiple linier regression analysis.
At the determinant coefficient (R
2)shows that researched independent variables
able to explain 53,6% to the human resource quality while the remaining of 46,4%
explained by independent variable that were un-researched. The result of research of
indicate that

and job environment's role to human resource's quality at PT. Sinar Sosro in Medan (2)
by partial test show that there are positive and significant influence employee's role,
leader's role, job environment's role to human resource's quality. The most dominant
variable is leader's role that influencing human resource's quality at PT. Sinar Sosro in
Medan
