CHAPTER I PRELIMINARY

A. BACKGROUND

Curriculum, not a foreign word in the world of education. Education or learning can not be separated from this term, because the curriculum is one component of learning. With the process of teaching and learning curriculum will run in a structured and tersistem to achieve the desired learning objectives. Curriculum development is very important in line with the progress of science, technology, arts and culture, and changes in society.

To achieve the noble goals of learning, the curriculum developers continue to improve and evaluate the curriculum imposed. As will be discussed in this mkalah, curriculum 2013 is a result of the development of the Education Unit Level Curriculum. The curriculum is aimed at nothing other to further improve the quality of education that exist today

Curriculum 2013 is the latest implementation of the new curriculum started in this field began in 2013. Because the curriculum is still very new, so socialization in the community was also still ongoing today. Therefore, the authors construct a paper entitled "Implementation and Curriculum Innovation 2013", in addition to mememnuhi task subjects Curriculum Development, authors also hope this paper can contribute insight to the reader about the curriculum in 2013.
