A COMPARATIVE STUDY OF STUDENTS’ READING
COMPREHENSION ACHIEVEMENT BETWEEN LEFT-BRAIN AND RIGHT-BRAIN DOMINATED STUDENTS AT THE SECOND YEAR
OF SMAN 2 BANDAR LAMPUNG

A lot of factors could affect the difference of students’ reading comprehension achievement. Among those factors, cognitive style of the students had a big deal in different of students’ reading comprehension achievement. The research focused on left-brain and right-brain dominance toward reading comprehension achievement as a cognitive style aspect of the students. Many teachers did not pay attention to this cognitive style aspect.

CURRICULUM VITAE
The writer’s name is Devina Adinda. She was born in Bandar Lampung, November 8th, 1989. She is the second child of H. Nopian, S.E. and Sulhana Ekawati. She has two sisters, Adelia Amanda, S.E. and Jessi Trianka.
She entered TK Xaverius I Bandar Lampung in 1994 and then continued her study in SD Xaverius I Bandar Lampung in 1996. Having graduated from the elementary school in 2002, she entered SMP Xaverius I Bandar Lampung and graduated in 2005. After that, she finished her high school at SMA Negeri 2 Bandar Lampung in 2008.
