DUGAAN NILAI RIPITABILITAS DAN MPPA (Most Probable Producing
Ability) UNTUK VOLUME SEMEN, KONSENTRASI DAN MOTILITAS SPERMATOZOA PADA PEJANTAN SAPI BRAHMAN
(Kasus di Balai Inseminasi Buatan Lembang)

ABSTRAK
Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui dugaan nilai ripitabilitas dan MPPA (Most Probable Producing Ability) untuk volume semen, konsentrasi dan motilitas spermatozoa pada pejantan sapi Brahman. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan Oktober 2013 di Balai Inseminasi Buatan Lembang. Data penelitian diambil berdasarkan catatan produksi semen dari 10 ekor pejantan, dalam rentang waktu 12 bulan sejak sapi berada pada kondisi umur rata-rata 49 bulan (koefisien variasi 7%). Metode penelitian menggunakan analisis sidik ragam dan perhitungan menggunakan software microsoft excel 2007. Dugaan nilai ripitabilitas adalah sebesar 0,097±0,015 untuk volume semen, 0,099±0,016 untuk konsentrasi spermatozoa total dan 0,101±0,016 untuk motilitas (konsentrasi spermatozoa motil). Nilai ripitabilitas untuk seluruh sifat reproduksi tersebut termasuk ke dalam kategori rendah. Perhitungan MPPA didasarkan atas total produksi tiap 4 bulan selama 1 tahun pengambilan data. Berdasarkan nilai MPPA volume semen, pejantan Langlo (nomor sapi 40892) paling tinggi produksinya dengan nilai MPPA yaitu 213,74 (ml). Pejantan Barda (nomor sapi 40681) unggul dalam memproduksi sel-sel spermatozoa (total) dengan nilai MPPA yaitu 255.479 (juta sel). Pejantan terbaik adalah pejantan B.C.Duke (nomor sapi 40990) dengan nilai MPPA tertinggi untuk produksi sel-sel spermatozoa motil yaitu 175.664 (juta sel).

ABSTRACT
The aims of this research was to find out estimates repeatability and MPPA (Most Probable Producing Ability) for semen volume, sperm concentration and motility of Brahman bulls. The research was conducted on October 2013 at the Center of Artificial Insemination Lembang. The data of the research was based on production records from 10 bulls over a span of 12 months since average age of bulls on condition 49 months (coefficient of variation 7%). Method of the research was used analysis of variance and software microsoft excel 2007 for counting it. Estimates repeatability value of three reproduction traits are 0.097±0.015 for semen volume, 0.099±0.016 for total sperm concentration and 0.101±0.016 for motility (the concentration of motile sperm). Repeatability value of all reproductive traits included in the low category. MPPA calculation based on the total production every 4 months on 1 year. Based on grade for MPPA value of semen volume, Langlo (Tag no. 40892) was highest for that trait with the MPPA value 213.74 (ml). Barda (Tag no. 40681) was excellent bull in producing sperm cells (total) with the MPPA value 255,479 (million cells). The best bull was B.C.Duke (Tag no. 40990) with the highest MPPA value (for produce motile sperm cells) 175,664 (million cells).
