1974 - 1984

PT INTI (Persero) resmi berdiri pada 30 Desember 1974. Bidang usaha PT INTI (Persero) meliputi produk-produk radio sonde, radio High Frequency (HF), radio Very High

Frequency (VHF), pesawat telepon, dan stasiun bumi

untuk Sistem Komunikasi Satelit Domestik (SKSD) Palapa. Produk stasiun bumi yang disebut terakhir ini mencatatkan sejarah dalam perkembangan PT INTI (Persero) dengan memberikan kontribusi pada prestasi penjualan tertinggi di periode ini, yaitu sebesar Rp 24,3 milyar di 1981.

Fasilitas produksi yang dimiliki PT INTI (Persero) pada periode ini antara lain:

• Pabrik Perakitan Telepon

• Pabrik Perakitan Peralatan Transmisi • Pabrik Mekanik dan Plastik

• Laboratorium Software Komunikasi Data

(PACKSATNET) bekerjasama dengan Logitech. Kerja sama teknologi yang pernah dilakukan pada era ini antara lain dengan Siemens AG, BTM, PRX, JRC. Pada era tersebut produk Pesawat Telepon Umum Koin (PTUK) PT INTI (Persero) menjadi standar Perum Telekomunikasi (sekarang Telkom).

PT INTI (Persero) was officially established on December 30, 1974, PT INTI (Persero) business line includes products radio sonde, Radio High Frequency (HF), Very High Frequency Radio (VHF), telephone, and satellite earth station for Domestic Satellite Communication System (Sistem Komunikasi Satelit Domestik/SKSD) Palapa. The earth station mentioned the latter recorded in the history of the development of PT INTI (Persero) with contributing to achievement of the highest sales in this period, which amounted to Rp 24.3 billion in 1981.

PT INTI (Persero) owned production facilities in this period include:

• Phone Assembly Plant

• Transmission Assembly Plant Equipment • Mechanical and Plastic Factory

• Data Communications Software (PACKSATNET) in collaboration with Logitech.

Technology collaboration undertaken in this era, among others, with Siemens AG, BTM, PRX, JRC. In this era products Coin Public Telephone (Pesawat Telepon Umum Koin/PTUK) PT INTI (Persero) became Perum Telekomunikasi (now Telkom) standard.

1985 - 1998

Diawali oleh rencana pemerintah untuk melakukan digitalisasi infrastruktur telekomunikasi di Indonesia dan menunjuk PT INTI (Persero) sebagai pemasok tunggal Sentral Telepon Digital Indonesia (STDI) yang dilaksanakan berdasarkan Technical and Business Cooperation Agreement (TBCA) dengan Siemens AG.

Fasilitas produksi terbaru yang dimiliki PT INTI (Persero) pada masa ini, di samping fasilitas-fasilitas yang sudah ada sebelumnya, antara lain Pabrik Sentral Telepon Digital Indonesia (STDI) pertama di Indonesia dengan teknologi produksi Through Hole Technology (THT).

Pabrik STDI berkapasitas 150.000 Satuan Sambungan Telepon (SST) ini dibangun pada tahun 1984. Produksi pertamanya sebesar 10.000 SST diluncurkan pada tahun 1985. Di kemudian hari kemampuan pabrik ini dilengkapi juga dengan teknologi produksi Surface Mounting

Dari ketiga kategori produk tersebut, produk yang memberikan kontribusi terbesar dalam penjualan PT INTI (Persero) adalah produk sentral.

Pada era ini, PT INTI (Persero) memiliki reputasi dan prestasi yang signifikan, yaitu:

• Menjadi pionir dalam proses digitalisasi sistem dan jaringan telekomunikasi di Indonesia.

• Bersama Telkom telah berhasil dalam proyek otomatisasi telepon di seluruh ibu kota kabupaten dan ibu kota kecamatan di seluruh wilayah Indonesia. Pada periode ini, tepatnya pada 1988, berdasarkan KEPMEN 036/M-PBUMN/1988, PT INTI (Persero) masuk ke dalam Industri Strategis. Bisnis terbesar pada periode ini adalah STDI. Pada periode ini pula PT INTI (Persero) berhasil mengembangkan produk SBK 3 Kanal dan Sentral Telepon Digital Indonesia Kecil (STDI-K).

Besides, PT INTI (Persero) also manufactured products of its own development such as Small Earth Stations (Stasiun Bumi Kecil/SBK), High Frequency (HF) Radio, Digital Microwave Radio (DMR), Telephone System Moving Vehicle (TSMV), Public Telephone Box, and Coin Public Telephone self (Pesawat Telepon Umum Swalayan/PTUS).

Since 1989, PT INTI (Persero) products were grouped into three, namely:

1. Switching Products 2. Transmission Products

3. Terminal Products or Customer Premises Equipment (CPE)

Technology collaboration undertaken in this period include: • Switching sector with Siemens AG.

• Transmission sector with the Japan Radio Company. • CPE sector with Siemens AG, BTM, Tamura, Syapura,

and Tatung TEL.

Among the three product categories, the biggest contribution in PT INTI (Persero) sales as given by the exchange products. In this era, PT INTI (Persero) had significant reputation and achievements, namely:

• Being a pioneer in the digitization of telecommunication systems and networks in Indonesia.

• Together with Telkom successfully completed telephone automation projects in almost all the distric and sub-distric capital throughout Indonesia.

In this period, precisely in 1998, based on Decree of Minister No. 036/MPBUMN/1998, PT INTI (Persero) was included into the Strategic Industries. The biggest business in this period was the Digital Telephone Central Indonesia (Sentral Telepon Digital Indonesia/STDI). At this period PT INTI (Persero) also successfully developed 3-Channels Small Earth Station and Small Digital Telephone Central of Indonesia (Sentral Telepon Digital Indonesia Kecil/STDI-K) products.

1998 - 2002

Pada akhir TBCA dengan Siemens AG, PT INTI (Persero) menetapkan posisinya sebagai penyedia solusi teknik, terutama sebagai integrator sistem untuk pengembangan infrastruktur telekomunikasi di Indonesia, termasuk pengembangan infrastruktur telekomunikasi seluler. Tidak kurang dari 2000 BTS telah dibangun oleh PT INTI (Persero) di seluruh Indonesia.

By the end of TBCA with Siemens AG, PT INTI (Persero) established its position as engineering solution provider, especially as system integrator for telecommunications infrastructure development in Indonesia, including mobile telecommunications infrastructure development. Not less than 2000 base stations have been built by PT INTI (Persero) throughout Indonesia.

2002 - 2019

Di era ini, kerja sama teknologi tidak lagi terkonsentrasi pada Siemens, tetapi dilakukan secara seimbang

(multi-prinsipal) dengan beberapa perusahaan multinasional dari

Eropa dan Asia. Aktivitas manufaktur tidak lagi ditangani oleh PT INTI (Persero), tetapi melalui spin-off dengan mendirikan anak perusahaan dan perusahaan patungan, seperti:

• Sektor CPE, membentuk anak perusahaan bernama PT INTI Pisma Internasional dengan JItech International, yang berlokasi di Cileungsi, Bogor.

• Sektor mekanika dan plastik, membentuk usaha patungan dengan PT Pindad (Persero) bernama PT INTI Pindad Mitra Sejati, yang berbasis di Bandung, yang secara resmi didirikan pada Juli 2004.

• Sektor switching, akses dan transmisi, memelopori kerjasama dengan beberapa perusahaan multinasional seperti Sagem, Motorola, Alcatel, Ericsson, dan Samsung.

Bisnis terbesar dalam periode ini adalah Code Division

Multiple Access (CDMA), Regional Metro Junction (RMJ),

jaringan akses serat optik serta Out Site Plant (OSP), tautan

microwave digital, konstruksi menara secara nasional,

mekanik sipil dan listrik juga sebagai catu daya, dan juga cakupan dalam ruangan.

Pada periode ini, PT INTI (Persero) juga merevitalisasi bisnis manufakturnya untuk mengakomodasi keberlanjutan perusahaan dan menstabilkan untuk memasuki bisnis solusi teknik, integrator sistem, pengembangan produk asli, dan manajemen kursi. Tidak hanya di sektor Teknologi Informasi dan Komunikasi (TIK), PT INTI (Persero) memperluas portofolionya menjadi Manufacture and

Assembly, Managed Service, Digital Service, dan System Integrator.

In this era, technology cooperation is no longer concentrated on Siemens, but done in balanced (multi-principal) with several multinational companies from Europe and Asia. Manufacturing activity was no longer handled by PT INTI (Persero), but through spin-off by setting up subsidiaries and joint ventures, such as:

• CPE sector, formed a subsidiary named PT INTI Pisma Internasional with JItech International, located in Cileungsi, Bogor.

• Mechanics and plastic sector, formed a joint venture with PT Pindad (Persero) named PT INTI Pindad Mitra Sejati, based in Bandung, which was officially established in July 2004.

• Switching, access and transmission sector, pioneered co-operations with some multinational companies such as Sagem, Motorola, Alcatel, Ericsson, and Samsung.

The largest business in this period were Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA), Regional Metro Junction (RMJ), fiber optic access network as well as Out Site Plant (OSP), digital microwave link, tower construction nationwide, civil mechanical and electrical as well as power supply, and also indoor coverage.

In this period, PT INTI (Persero) also revitalized its manufacturing business to accommodate the company’s sustainability and stabilize to enter the business of engineering solutions, system integrators, development of genuine products, and seat management. Not only in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) sector, PT INTI (Persero) is expanding its portfolio to Manufacture and Assembly, Managed Service, Digital Service, and System Integrator.
