iii ABSTRAK
Rumah sakit adalah sarana pelayanan kesehatan yang memiliki dampak positif dan dampak negatif terhadap lingkungan sekitarnya. Laundry rumah sakit adalah salah satu sarana untuk melakukan proses pencucian linen. Hendaknya lokasi dan tempatnya mudah dijangkau oleh unit yang memerlukanya. Jenis penelitian ini bersifat deskriptif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengelolaan linen laundry dan tingkat kepatuhan petugas memahami SOP (Standar Operasional Prosedur) di RS Royal Prima Kota Medan tahun 2017.
Adapun objek penelitian ini adalah seluruh ruangan yang menggunakan kain linen yaitu ruang rawat inap,ruang instalasi gawat darurat (IGD), dan ruangan linen lain di Rumah Sakit Royal Prima.
Hasil penelitian RS Royal Prima menunjukkan bahwa pengelolaan linen laundry di instalasi RS Royal Prima mulai dari tahap pengumpulan, penerimaan, pencucian, pengeringan, penyetrikaan, penyimpanan, distribusi, pengangkutan, tidak seluruhnya sesuai atau tidak memenuhi syarat kesehatan Lingkungan Rumah Sakit dengan ketentuan Kepmenkes RI Nomor 1204/Menkes/SK/X/2004. Pada tahap pengumpulan, pencucian, penyimpanan, pengangkutan, petugas tidak mengikuti sesuai prosedur yang diharuskan, petugas masih menggabung linen infeksius dan linen non infeksius saat proses pengumpulan, tidak menggunakan Alat Pelindung Diri yang lengkap sesuai ketetapan dari RS Royal Prima dan proses pendistribusian petugas juga tidak lagi menggunakan kartu dan hanya dicatat oleh petugas laundry saja.
Disarankan pihak rumah sakit khususnya unit laundry yang sudah menyesuaikan SOP (Standar Operasional Prosedur) dengan Kepmenkes RI Nomor : 1204/Menkes/SK/X/2004 tentang persyaratan Kesehatan Lingkungan. Untuk petugas pada unit laundry perlu dilakukan pengawasan agar kinerja petugas sesuai dengan SOP sehingga menghindari terjadi infeksi dikarenakan penenganan linen yang tidak baik.

iv ABSTRACT
Hospital is a facility that has a positive and negative effect towards the environment around it. Hospital Laundry is a process to clean the linen that has been used. It should be located at the most coverable area that can be accessed by the unit which is needed. This study is using the descriptive study method. The purpose of this research is to identify the management of linen laundry and compliance level of the workers understanding the SOP (Standard Operational Procedure) in RS Royal Prima Medan City Year 2017.
The object of this research are all the rooms that use linen cloth which is inpatient room, emergency department, and other rooms that use linen cloth in Royal Prima Hospital.
The study result shows that the management of the linen in the laundry installation in Royal Prima Hospital starting from collecting linen, receiving, washing, drying, ironing, storing, distributing, and transporting not entirely correspond or commit to the act of hospital sanitary which is stated in Ministry of Health Regulation act under number 1204/Menkes/SK/X/2004. In the stages of collecting, washing, storing and transporting did not followed the procedure that has been stated, workers still combine infectious linen with the non-infectious linen in the collecting stages, they did not use Personal Protective Equipment and in the distribution stages too the workers did not use the card system anymore and they only noted for the laundry’s workers only.
It is suggested to the Hospital, mainly to the laundry unit which is correspond to the SOP (Standard Operational Procedure) and with the Ministry of Health Regulation act under number 1204/Menkes/SK/X/2004 about sanitary requirements. For the workers in the laundry unit there is a need to supervise therefore the workers will abide the regulation and SOP so then in the future there will be no infection disease spread because of the mismanaged of the linen.
