Take a piece of
large construction
paper and fold it in
half to find the
center. Then open it
back up and fold
the outer flaps in
to the center fold.
•
Pick your kid for
the cover of the
lapbook. Color and
cut it out. Glue it to
the very back of
the lapbook.
•
Color and cut the
additional cover
pieces. Glue them
to the front of the
lapbook. Cut open
the slit from the
title square so the
lapbook opens.

•
Color and cut out the key word flapbook.
•
Glue the left side of the flapbook to the lapbook.
•
Cut the slits between the words apart.
•
Write the definition or word in a sentence under
the flap.

Color and cut out the web and the cover tabs to
the web.
•
Glue the web down on the lapbook.
•
Glue the tabs ontop of the web using the top
flap.
•
Under each flap, use an adjective to describe
leaves.

•
Color and cut
out the
timeline and
the event
squares.
•
Put the
squares in
order when
the events
occur based
on the season
and changes in
trees.
Cut and paste the events
onto the .meline in the
correct order in which they
happen.
All the leaves are gone. They
have all fallen off. The tree begins to make
buds.
The dark green leaves begin to
change colors. They turn red, yellow or orange. Then they start to
fall off the branches.
New leaves are now full size and
dark green. They use the sun’s light to make food.
Small buds appear on branches. They open and tiny new
leaves appear. They grow bigger
each day.

Fold back and glue the tabs of
the pocket onto the lapbook.

Write a description of each leaf
type on the empty puzzle piece.
