the research was to know The Vegetative Growth Response of Same Corn Plants
(F1) at Salinity Stress (NaCl) through the Medium of Nutrient Culture. This research was conducted at Greenhouse Faculty of Agriculture, University of North Sumatra, Medan, which was held March to April 2017 by using Randomized Block Design (Rancangan Acak Kelompok/RAK) using two treatment factors: Population A : NEI 9008 x CLA 46, Population B : CLA 84 x NEI 9008, Population C : CLA 106 x NEI 9008, Population D : CLA 16 x CLA 84, and Population E : CLA 84 x P1027 and NaCl (0, 50 ppm, and 100 ppm). The observed variables were observed are plant height, root length, relative root length, increment of root length, increment of relative root length , weight of wet canopy, weight of wet root, weight of dry canopy, weight of dry root, weight of relative dry canopy, weight of relative dry root, canopy root ratio, and cross sectional roots. The results of this research show that the population had significant effect of plant height, root length, weight of wet canopy, weight of dry canopy, weight of wet root, weight of dry root, canopy root ratio, root volume, and root length increase. NaCl had a significant effect on cortex diameter. The interaction between population and NaCl has no significant effect.

RETNO KENCANA UNGU, 2017. Respon Pertumbuhan Vegetatif Beberapa Hasil Persilangan (F1) Tanaman Jagung (Zea mays L.) Terhadap Cekaman Salinitas Garam (NaCl) Melalui Media Kultur Hara dibimbing oleh Kahirunnisa Lubis dan Diana Sofia Hanafiah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui respon pertumbuhan vegetatif beberapa hasil persilangan (F1) tanaman jagung (Zea mays L.) terhadap cekaman salinitas garam (NaCl) melalui media kultur hara. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Rumah Kaca Fakultas Pertanian Univeritas Sumatera Utara, Medan yang dilaksanakan bulan Maret-April 2017 menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) dengan menggunakan dua faktor perlakuan yaitu : Populasi A : NEI 9008 x CLA 46, populasi B : CLA 84 x NEI 9008, populasi C : CLA 106 x NEI 9008, populasi D : CLA 16 x CLA 84, dan populasi E : CLA 84 x P1027 dan NaCl (0, 50 ppm, dan 100 ppm). Peubah amatan yang diamati adalah tinggi tanaman, panjang akar, panjang akar relatif, pertambahan panjang akar, pertambahan panjang akar relatif, bobot basah tajuk, bobot basah akar, bobot kering tajuk, bobot kering akar, bobot kering tajuk relatif, bobot kering akar relatif, ratio akar tajuk, dan penampang melintang akar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa populasi berpengaruh nyata tinggi tanaman, panjang akar, bobot basah tajuk, bobot kering tajuk, bobot basah akar, bobot kering akar, ratio akar tajuk, volume akar, dan pertambahan panjang akar. NaCl berpengaruh nyata pada diameter korteks. Interaksi antara populasi dan NaCl tidak berpengaruh nyata. Populasi C (CLA 106 x NEI 9008) adalah populasi yang toleran dengan nilai indeks cekaman < 1. Media yang masih dapat di tolerir adalah pada perlakuan NaCl 50 ppm.
