ABSTRAK
Tugas akhir ini adalah membuat aplikasi informasi jalan raya berdasarkan GPS (Global Positioning System) pada smartphone dengan tujuan membantu pengguna smartphone dalam memperoleh informasi jalan raya. Aplikasi dengan nama InfoLaluLintas menekankan komunikasi client-server antara smartphone sebagai client dan komputer sebagai server. Informasi disajikan dalam bentuk teks dengan menampilkan pilihan berupa macet, banjir dan demo. Penggunaan informasi koordinat menggunakan GPS pada smartphone untuk mendapatkan nilai koordinat lokasi. Aplikasi client melakukan query ke server untuk meminta dan mengirim request dengan protokol HTTP. Web service pada komputer server memproses query tersebut lalu memberikan data balasan ke client. Informasi yang diterima oleh smartphone berupa XML diparsing sehingga informasi yang ditampilakan berupa teks dan table. Selain koneksi client-server, terdapat juga aplikasi Location Based Service yang digunakan untuk mengakses lokasi user dengan Integrated GPS atau Assisted GPS pada smartphone untuk menambahkan informasi nilai koordinat.

This final task is make the information highway applications based on GPS (Global Positioning System) on smartphone aims to help smartphone users in obtaining information highway. Applications with name InfoLaluLintas emphasize client-server communication between the smartphone as a client and computer as a server. Information is presented in the form of text to display the options in the form of jams, flooding and demos. The use of coordinate information using the GPS on smartphone to get the value of location coordinates.
