APLN EXPLANATION REGARDING G ISLAND
Jakarta, July 2, 2016. PT Agung Podomoro Land Tbk. (“the Company" or "APLN") is a public company that always adhere to all regulations. APLN has a license to reclaim G Island through PT Muara Wisesa Samudra ( "MWS"), an indirect subsidiary through PT Kencana Unggul Sukses ( "KUS"). APLN, KUS and MWS are property developers who always act in good faith in conducting their business activities and comply with all regulations.
With regard to the news in media citing the results of a joint meeting between the Ministry of Transportation, Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries, Ministry of Environment and
Forestry, the DKI Jakarta government, led by the Coordinating Ministry for Maritime and Resources that are recommending to stop the reclamation project of the G island on the northern coast Jakarta, hereby MWS has not received any official notification from the authorities. Up to recently, neither APLN, KUS nor MWS has not received a reclamation permit revocation which was issued by the Governor of DKI through Governor Decree No. 2238 Year 2014.
In reclaiming the G Island, MWS has fulfilled all the requirements and obtain all the necessary licenses.
Here are Technical Explanation the G Island:
1. From the construction design up to the reclamation process of the G island, MWS has engaged with an expert consultant, Royal Haskoning DHV, who has been well
recognized, with over 135 years of experience in various countries.
2. Joint Operation Boskalis - Van Oord (JOBVO) as a joint venture of two Netherland reclamation contractors, Boskalis and Van Oord, are the main contractors of the reclamation of the G island. Both of them are international companies with
experience of more than 100 years. One of the successful projects handled by these contractors is the project of making Palm Jumairah, Dubai.
3. Consultants and Contractors engaged in this project are experts in their fields of reclamation, hence the processes of the reclaimation of the G island are well
executed with complete study. Before the reclamation processes were conducted, the location has been surveyed by various methods, among others: bathymetry, pinger and Soiltest. From these survey results, there are no electric cables, gas pipes nor other metal objects in the concession area of the G island.
4. The distance between the G island and the PLN gas pipes which was originally within 25 meters, after and through study by DKI Government, the G island will be moved to the west as far as 50 meters, hence the distance between the G island and the gas pipes become 75 meters.
5. The shape of the G island is the result of study by experts, so that the existence of the G island will not impede the cruise line of fishermen, with canal as wide as 300

Since the beginning of the reclamation process or even since ± 15 years ago, there were no marine life in the water area of the G island.
