PENGARUH PENGOLAHAN SABUT SAWIT DENGAN BERBAGAI KONSENTRASI FILTRAT ABU TANDAN SAWIT TERHADAP KADAR
LIGNIN DAN SERAT KASAR

Penelitian dilaksanakan mulai bulan Maret sampai dengan April 2013 di Laboratorium Nutrisi Ternak Ruminansia dan Kimia Makanan Ternak Fakultas Peternakan Universitas Padjadjaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pengolahan sabut sawit dengan Filtrat Abu Tandan Sawit (FATS) terhadap kadar lignin dan serat kasar serta untuk mengetahui konsentrasi FATS yang dapat menurunkan kadar lignin dan serat kasar. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimental dengan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) menggunakan lima macam perlakuan (T0 = Sabut sawit tanpa hidrolisis FATS sebagai kontrol,
T1 = Sabut sawit dengan hidrolisis FATS konsentrasi 5 %, T2 = Sabut sawit
dengan hidrolisis FATS konsentrasi 10 %, T3 = Sabut sawit dengan hidrolisis
FATS konsentrasi 15 %, dan T4 = Sabut sawit dengan hidrolisis FATS konsentrasi
20%). Setiap perlakuan diulang sebanyak empat kali. Berdasarkan hasil analisis statistik menunjukkan bahwa FATS berpengaruh nyata terhadap penurunan kadar lignin dan serat kasar (P<0,05) dan pengolahan sabut sawit dengan FATS sebanyak 15% menghasilkan kandungan lignin dan serat kasar paling rendah

This research was conducted in March until April 2013 in Laboratorium Ruminansia dan Kimia Makanan Ternak in Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Padjadjaran University. This study aimed to investigate the effect of fiber treatment with various concentrations of filtrated bunch ash of oil palm (FATS) on levels of lignin and crude fiber and to determine the concentration of FATS which can reduce levels of lignin and crude fiber.
