Abstract
One of the secure communication process and data exchange is communications that involve encryption and decryption process in it. Caesar cipher is one of the techniques for securing messages. However Caesar began to be abandoned because of its simple algorithm and has been solved easily by cryptanalyst brute force attack (BFA). For that reasons this study modifies Caesar cipher by expands the choice of the shift key from 26 to 127 and use 2 square matrix with the size of 3 as additional key. This modification results can withstand brute force attack cryptanalysis.

Abstrak
Salah satu proses komunikasi dan pertukaran data yang aman adalah komunikasi yang melibatkan proses enkripsi dan dekripsi di dalamnya. Caesar Cipher merupakan salah satu teknik untuk mengamankan pesan. Namun saat ini Caesar mulai ditinggalkan karena algoritmanya yang terlalu sederhana dan telah dipecahkan oleh kriptanalis brute force attack (BFA). Berdasarkan alasan tersebut tulisan ini memodifikasi Caesar cipher dengan memperluas pemil ihan kunci geser dari 26 menjadi 127 serta menggunakan dua matriks bujursangkar ordo 3 sebagai kunci pada Caesar cipher. Hasil modifikasi kriptografi ini dapat menahan kriptanalisis brute force attack.
