ABSTRACT
This study aims to determine the level of knowledge of students of the Faculty of Economics and Business SWCU to mutual funds as an investment tools. Mutual fund is a suitable investment for a prospective investor who has not experienced in the world of investment and have limited funds to invest. It should be a knowledge about mutual funds, because there are many seminars and mutual recognition activities, especially on college students. A total of 54 students from the number of students of economics and business faculty generation from 2005 to 2011 corresponding to the sample of this study, which have passed the course of Portofolio and Investment Management. By distributing questionnaires to measure the level of mutual understanding in students, this study using descriptive analysis techniques. The results of this study indicate that the students of the Faculty of Economics and Business SWCU included in the category of knowledge on mutual funds as an investment tools. This is supported by the class of capital market that is held by KSM and Danareksa to introduce investment to the college students.
