ABSTRAK
Kertas karya yang berjudul The Description of Plot In Fire & Hemlock Novel by Diana Wynne Jones ini mendeskripsikan jalan cerita yang terkandung dalam novel fantasi tersebut. Dalam pengerjaannya penulis mendeskripsikan titik awal dari alur cerita lalu klimaks dan berakhir pada titip penyelesaian cerita. Tujuan dari kertas karya ini adalah untuk menampilkan hasil jalan cerita yang sudah dianalisis oleh penulis dan memberi informasi mengenai cerita novel fantasi tersebut. Kertas karya ini menggunkan metode kualitatif deskriptif.
ABSTRACT
This paper entitled The Description of Plot in Fire & Hemlock Novel By Diana Wynne Jones describes the plot that is built up in that fantasy novel. In doing this paper, the writer describes the first point or the beginning of the story then the climax and last the resolution of the story. The purpose of this paper is to show the result of plot that has been found by the writer and to give informatiaon about that fantasy story. This paper is written by using descriptive qualitative method.

He let me to take every breath and every miracle in my life. So that, I can finish my paper as one of requirements to get my Diploma III certificate from English Department Faculty of Cultural Study, University of Sumatra Utara.

Hasudungan Manik, S.E, who always stands beside me for leading my way, for giving suggestions, for treating me like his treasure and for every love and time that we have spent together. Repina br. Purba, S.E, who always holds me deep inside, brings the dark out, manages my life, teachs me well, shares happiest smile even you are in the hard pain and be there as a stong woman I’ve ever had. Then, for both of My Afrodite and Artemis, Shela Yovanesia Manik and Silfa Christi Novita. You make me feel like I am always lucky.Then for some of freak cousins such as: Ivan Manik, Emrya Purba, Theo Purba, Helen Manik, Keysia Manik, Angel Purba, Agatha Purba, Felix Purba, Steven Manik, Putri Manik, Chatarine Manik, Daud Manik, Hawa Manik and Abraham Manik. Then to all my Sweet Family Members.
