v ABSTRACT
Children's communication is very unique and must appropriate with development step. The important development step is toddler age,. communication for age where language development with understand ten words skills when toddler age begin and development become understanding sentences perpectly but simple when toddler ages become extinct. Infuse installation is an invasive step that usually done but was a trauma risk for a toddler. The purpose of this research is for find out an illustration about application therapeutic communication by nurses in sumedang general hospital for toddler ages who take infuse installation.
The method of this research with descriptive kuantitative approached. Sample of this research are 30 nurses that installed infuse with total sampling, frequency tabulation is about therapeutic communication score result at pre interaction step, orientation, work and termination and also in a general therapeutic communication.
the result of this research in a general showed that therapeutic communication have done by a nurses in pediatric warm sumedang general hospital more than half (53,3%) with good kategory, with the details : pra interaction step all of respondent (100%) didn't implement enough, orientation step more than half (53,3) with good category, work step partly of respondent (80%) with good category and partly termination of respondent (80%) with good category.
The conclusion of this research was done is good by a nurse in pediatric warm sumedang general hospital when infuse installation wether the standart operational prosedure (sop) about therapeutic communication not available. The hospital must increase skills of nurses communication with exercise and continued education therapeutic communication.
