PENGARUH PENGGUNAAN TEPUNG LIMBAH JERUK MANIS (Citrus sinensis) TERHADAP KECERNAAN PROTEIN KASAR DAN LEMAK

ABSTRAK
Penelitian dirancang untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan tepung limbah jeruk manis (Citrus sinensis) terhadap kecernaan protein kasar dan lemak kasar Domba Padjadjaran jantan dan level penggunaan tepung limbah jeruk manis (Citrus sinensis) yang menghasilkan kecernaan protein kasar dan lemak kasar tertinggi. Penelitian ini dilakukan selama 7 hari bertempat di kandang domba Breeding Station dan Laboratorium Nutrisi Ternak Ruminansia dan Kimia Makanan Ternak Fakultas Peternakan Universitas Padjadjaran. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 4 perlakuan (R1=0%, R2=4%, R3=6% dan R4=8% tepung limbah jeruk manis) dan 5 ulangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan tepung limbah jeruk manis (Citrus sinensis) memberikan pengaruh tidak nyata (P>0,05) terhadap kecernaan protein kasar dan lemak kasar ransum pada Domba Padjadjaran. Penggunaan tepung limbah jeruk manis (Citrus sinensis) sampai level 8% dalam konsentrat menghasilkan kecernaan protein kasar dan lemak kasar yang relatif sama dengan tanpa pemberian tepung limbah jeruk manis (Citrus sinensis).

THE EFFECT OF USING SWEET ORANGE (Citrus sinensis) WASTE MEAL ON CRUDE PROTEIN AND CRUDE FAT FEED DIGESTIBILITY

ABSTRACT
This research aims to determine the effect of using sweet orange (Citrus sinensis) waste meal in the ration on crude protein and crude fat digestibility and to determine level of using sweet orange (Citrus sinensis) waste meal that produce the highest crude protein and crude fat digestibility. This research has been conducted in Breeding Station and Ruminant Nutrition and Feed Chemical Livestock Laboratory, Faculty of Animal Husbandry Universitas Padjadjaran during 7 days. The experimental method in this study used a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting five treatments (R1 = 0%, R2 = 4%, R3 = 6%, and R4 = 8% of sweet orange waste meal) and was repeated four times. The result of this study showed that by using sweet orange (Citrus sinensis) waste is had not significant (P<0.05) effect on crude protein and crude fat digestibility Padjadjaran Male Sheep. The conclusion is using sweet orange (Citrus sinensis) waste meal until 8% gave same effect on crude protein and crude fat digestibility without using sweet orange (Citrus sinensis) waste meal.
