ABSTRACT
The prevalence of helminthiasis in Indonesia is still high with the range of 10%- 85,9 %. The predilection of helminthiasis usually occurs in children of primary school age with prevalence 68,9%. One of the factors causing the high number of the prevalence of STH is low level of personal sanitation (clean healthy living behaviors). The purpose of this study was to examine the correlation of behavior and the intensity of STH in elementary school student in Lingga Julu.

The intensity of STH infection were 59% (light), 37,3 % (moderate), and 3,6 % (severe). Chi-Square test showed the value of association on knowledge variable were p=0,103, attitude (p=0,163) and action (p= 0,334). Based on the results of the this study, there was no correlation between behavior and the intensity of STH infection.
