ABSTRACT

This study entitled "The Analysis of Moral Values in Westlife's Selected Songs". This study aimed to describe the moral values and benefits of the moral values in the life depicted in the lyrics Westlife. The method used in this research is analysis. The data source of this research is a Westlife album entitled "Greatest Hits" consisting of four songs. The technique used to analyze the data by performing a few steps, among others, (1) read and listen to 4 lyrics Westlife album Greatest Hits, (2) understand the content of the lyrics Westlife, and (3) analyze the moral values and benefits of the moral values in the life depicted in the lyrics Westlife. The analysis showed that the Westlife song lyrics is a song that is interesting to study. Westlife song is concerned that in the experience of human life through the social mirror, which refers to the trust, love and affection, sincerity, steadfastness, and respect for others. Moral values that are useful in human life is portrayed in the lyrics Westlife is the social moral values. Social man without a man who does not have a purpose. Humans are taught in the social value of helping each other between people, mutual tolerance in accepting human diversity both based on ethnicity, religion, race and groups. religion also teaches people not to do things that hurt other people and the surrounding environment. Moreover, the depiction of moral values that exist in the lyrics Westlife neighborhood not far from the author's life, from where is described how the behavior of people's lives on the good and bad depiction of human morals in behavior. Moral values also refer to something that is good or bad. One can communicate with each other with a standard of moral / ethical. So, the moral is a good way to behave well in life.

ABSTRAK

Penelitian ini berjudul “The Analysis of Moral Values in Westlife’s Selected Songs”. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan nilai-nilai moral dan manfaat dari nilai moral tersebut dalam kehidupan yang digambarkan dalam lirik lagu Westlife. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Deskriptif Analisis. Sumber data penelitian ini adalah album Westlife yang berjudul “Greatest Hits” yang terdiri dari 4 lagu. Teknik yang digunakan untuk menganalisis data yaitu dengan melakukan beberapa langkah, antara lain (1) membaca dan mendengarkan 4 lirik lagu Westlife dalam album Greatest Hits, (2) memahami isi dari lirik lagu Westlife, dan (3) menganalisis nilai-nilai moral serta manfaat dari nilai moral tersebut dalam kehidupan yang digambarkan dalam lirik lagu Westlife. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa lirik lagu Westlife adalah lagu yang menarik untuk diteliti. Lagu Westlife ini menyangkut pengalaman kehidupan manusia yang di cerminkan melalui sosial, yang mengacu pada kepercayaan, cinta dan kasih sayang, ketulusan, ketabahan, dan menghormati orang lain. Nilai moral yang bermanfaat dalam kehidupan manusia yang digambarkan dalam lirik lagu Westlife adalah nilai moral sosial. Manusia tanpa sosial merupakan manusia yang tidak memiliki tujuan. Manusia diajarkan dalam nilai sosial untuk saling tolong menolong antar manusia, saling toleransi dalam menerima keberagaman manusia baik berdasarkan suku, agama, ras dan kelompok. agama juga mengajarkan manusia untuk tidak melakukan hal yang merugikan orang lain maupun lingkungan sekitarnya. Selain itu, penggambaran nilai moral yang ada dalam lirik lagu Westlife tidak jauh dari lingkungan kehidupan pengarang, dari sanalah digambarkan bagaimana prilaku kehidupan masyarakat tentang penggambaran baik buruknya akhlak manusia dalam bertingkah laku. Nilai moral juga mengacu pada sesuatu yang baik atau buruk. Seseorang dapat berkomunikasi dengan sesamanya dengan standar dari moral/etika. Jadi, bermoral adalah cara yang baik untuk berprilaku baik dalam hidup.
