Abstract
The purpose of this study is to determine the antibacterial activity of the leaf extract of waru lengis (H.tiliaceus L.), to determine the stability of the foam shampoo leaf extract of waru lengis (H.tiliaceus L.), at various concentrations, determine levels leaf extract of waru lengis (H.tiliaceus L.), right in shampoo formulations, and compare the results shampoo with SNI 06-2692-1992. Antibacterial activity test carried out on bacteria Bacillus subtilis (ATCC 6051) and Escherichia coli (ATCC 0091IFO), Sampo foam stability was tested and compared with SNI 06-2692-1992. Antibacterial activity and foam stability were analyzed by Randomized Completely Block Design (RCBD) with 8 treatments and 4 replications, to compare the average diameter of the inhibition and foam stability among various concentrations used Honestly Significant Difference (HSD) with a significance level of 5%. Antibacterial activity of the leaf extract of waru lengis (H.tiliaceus L.) against B.subtilis (ATCC 6051) classified as being at a concentration of 5-10% at concentrations of 12.5 to 20% and showed a strong effect. While the E. coli (ATCC 0091IFO) classified as being at a concentration of 5-20%. Average foam stability is highest at a concentration of 12.5% (96.65 ± 1.89). leaf extract of waru lengis (H.tiliaceus L.) right in the shampoo formulation at a concentration of 12.5%. Shampoo leaf extract of waru lengis (H.tiliaceus L.) are designed to meet SNI 06-2692-1992.
