PREFACE
Thank to the God Almighty who has given His bless to me for finishing this final
project report entitled “Press Release as a Communication Tool in Public
Relations Division of Sukoharjo Local Government”. I also wish to express my
deep and sincere gratitude for those who have guided in completing this paper.
This report was written to fulfill the partial requirement in obtaining degree in
English Diploma Program, Faculty of Cultural Sciences, Sebelas Maret
University.
This report discuss about press release as a communication tool in Public
Relations Division of Sukoharjo Local Government. This report based on my job
training during April13th, 2015 – May 13th, 2015. In this report, I also reveal the
problems and the solutions while making press release in Public Relations
Division of Sukoharjo Local Government.
I would also like to say thank you to everyone, especially my beloved
parents, who support of my efforts in finishing this report. A great thank is also
expressed to Mr. Bayu Budiharjo S.S. M.Hum as my supervisor who has given his
time, patience, and guidance so I can finish the report well.
I hope that this report will be useful and have some contributions for all readers,

This final project report was written based on the job training at Public Relations Division of Sukoharjo Local Government on April, 13th 2015 to May, 13th, 2015. The objectives of this final project are to describe press release as the communication tool in Public Relations Division of Sukoharjo Local Government and the problems and the solutions that I encountered during the job training.
During the job training in Public Relations Division of Sukoharjo Local Government, the activities related to Public Relations field were making newspapers clipping about Sukoharjo’s trend issues, making press release, participating in governmental agenda, participating in telecommunication code sub-division.
Press release is one of the communication tools that is often used by Sukoharjo Local Government to deliver information to the public. Press release is important in Public Relations because the Public Relations officers can use it to puss on the information about the event that will be held in Sukoharjo. Public Relations Division of Sukoharjo Local Government also makes the press release to disseminate the information. The content of the press release had to be able to answer the questions of "what", "when", "where", "who", "why" and "how
