(An Experimental Research at Eighth Grade Students Of SMP Ma'arif NU 1 Cilongok in Academic Year 2014/2015)

The researcher conducted the study to examine the effectiveness of rally coach strategy to teach recount text writing. The population of the study were all of eighth grade students of SMP Ma'arif NU 1 Cilongok. The number of the students were 198. The treatment for experimental class was given after pre-test, and another treatment was used for control class. The result of t-test calculation was 4,7 while t-table value at the level of significance α = 0.05 for degree of freedom (df) = 65 was 1,67. It means that t-test was higher than t-table ( 4,7> 1.699). Based on the previous explanation, it could be concluded that rally coach strategy was effective to teach recount text writing.
