INVITATION FOR PREQUALIFICATION

No. 078/FT-UH/SC/111/2012

The Ministry of Education and Culture, Directorate General of Higher Education, Hasanuddin University intends to prequalify contractors for the following works of Hasanuddin University Engineering Faculty Development Project under JICA Loan No. IP-541 Package-2 Construction of Buildings and Procurement of Equipment and Furniture for Electrical and Mechanical Departments in Kabupaten Gowa, the Province of South Sulawesi. The Work is estimated equivalent to US$25million, consists of:

1. Construction of Building equivalent to US$14million

2. Procurement of Equipment and Furniture equivalent to US$11million

Prequalification will be conducted through prequalification procedures specified in the Guidelines for Procurement under Japanese ODA Loans, March 2009, and is open to firms and voluntarily formed joint ventures of building construction contractors and equipment procurement suppliers from eligible source countries, as defined in the guidelines. The building construction contractor shall be a leading firm of joint venture.

The Applicant shall meet the following minimum criteria:

1. Minimum average annual construction turnover of US$20million within the last 5 years

2. Construction experience in the role of prime contractor in at least 3 contracts equivalent to US$10million each within the last 5 years

3. Minimum average annual equipment procurement turnover of US$15million within the last 5 years

4. Equipment procurement experience in the role of prime equipment supplier in at least 3 contracts equivalent to US$2million each within the last 5 years

The Applicant shall have the following legal documents:

1. Construction Services License (IUJK) qualification B (Large)

2. Certificate of Firm (SBU) Gred-7

3. Registration of local office in the territory of the Republic of Indonesia registered in the relevant government authority for applicant from the country other than Indonesia
