The description of Hypertensive Heart Disease to the elderly who was nursed at R S U D Palembang Bari in period of January - December 2012 i

A B S T R A C T

The increase of numbers of hypertension to elderly will cause the increase of Hypertensive Heart Disease. Hypertensive Heart Disea.se was a term applied generally to heart disea.ses. .such as left ventricular hypertrophy, coronary artery disease, cardiac arrhythmias, and congestive heart failure, that are caused by the effects of elevated blood pre.s.sure. The purpose of this research to known the description of Hypertensive Heart Disease to the elderly who has been nursed at RSUD Palembang Bari in period of January December 2012. This research descriptived cro.ss - .sectional observational study. It was done at medical record of RSUD Palembang Bari. The collecting of data has done by using total sampling with 106 .sufferers of hypertensive heart disease then they were tested using .software of SPSS 16. The result showed that the disease most happened on the range of age between 60 -70 years old or elderly group ( 58.5 % ) . The gender of female has dominated for about ( 57.5 % ) . The most widely main complaint is asphyxiate ( 70.8 % ) . The highest degree of hypertension is the second degree of hypertens it }n is about 65 people ( 61,3 % ) . The highest total of level of cholesterol is 66 people ( 62,3 %) . The description of left ventrical hypertropy is 65 people ( 61,3% ) . The description of cardiomcgali is 81 people ( 76,4%}). People who will be over 60 years old must be regular and continuously check their health especially if they have got previous history of heart disease.
