NEWS FROM AROUND THE PARISH
Hey y’all! Thanks for picking up a bulletin and seeing what’s going on in this community. My name is Weiv Ekal Jr., the hometown reporter. Last Sunday, we were blessed to have so many faculty, parents, and students attend the 9:30 AM Mass to help us kickoff Catholic Schools Week which concluded Friday. Not only was Mass flooded with our beautiful people of SCS but all of our lovely members of the Altar & Rosary Society.
The ladies received a special blessing from the old pastor and installed their four officers. The ladies captured the moment in truly A&R style with a group photo in blue holding an image of the Blessed Mother.
In broader community news, St. Francis Parish is host- ing a Weidner’s Chicken BBQ on Sunday, March 6th from 12 PM until 4 PM. Dinein and takeout are both available. Tickets are $13 at the door. A beverage is included with the ½ chicken dinner, that comes with 2 sides and a roll with butter. Go and support our family member!
Weiv Ekal Jr.

WITH ONE VOICE
Respect Life Ministry
“Defend the lowly and fatherless; render justice to the afflicted and needy…deliver them from the hand of the wicked.”Psalm 82: 34. Scripture describes what the prolife struggle is in 2022.
Prayer is the fuel that powers our movements, but we need delivery systems. Is there any time in your busy life that would allow you to be a part of the above quote? Even if you can only spare an hour a week, a month or even in a year, there is something for you to do. Take that first step²contact our Parish office (7166272910 orParish@JP2Parish.org) for direction.

Thank you for your continued support. It is extremely important in order for us to continue to help this community function and grow as we are called to be
good stewards by God.
FUNERAL PLANNING
If you were not able to attend the recent funeral preplanning seminar, you may call the parish office to schedule an appointment to begin your planning. Keep in mind….IF YOU DO NOT PREPLAN YOUR FUNERAL at the church, and with a funeral home, there are approximately 400 decisions your family members must make upon your death. IF YOU DO PRE
PLAN YOUR FUNERAL, there will be only 2 decisions for your family members to make: Day and Time. To begin the pre
planning process, call the parish office at 6272910, or email Carol Mullins at carol.m@jp2parish.org.
