Agreement On

The Establishment of the Joint Business Council Between

The Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry And

The General Union of Chambers Commerce and Industry in the Great Jamahiriya

Taking into account the agreement bet'vveen the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and The General Union Chambers of Commerce and Industry in the Great Jamahiriya signed in 04/0412009, the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Indonesia undertakes to establish Indonesia-Libya Business Council and the General Union of Chamber Commerce and Industry in the Great Jamahiriya undertakes to establish Libya-Indonesia Business Council, for the purpose of enhancing and developing cordial relations between Republic of Indonesia and The Great Socialist People ' s Libya Arab Jamahiriya, Indonesia-Libya Business Council and Libya-Indonesia Business Council have agreed to establish a joint

Business Counci I.

Article (1)

Business Council definition

1. Business Council of each respect ive country is a non governmental organization with members comprising of business cxecut!ves and representatives or trading companies. industrial enterprises

as well as other related business organizations ha\'ing business relations between Indonesin and

Libyn.

2. Each Business council shall carry out its undertaking within the rules and regulations of the related Ch:-imbcr nnd Jurisdiction or1he Laws and Regulations if the rcspecti\'c Country.

4. To remove obstacles which could affect bilateral trade relations between both Countries. Article V

Tasks of the Joint Business council The Joint Business Council shall carry out the following tasks:

a. To exchange economic and trade information and services.

b. To assist the association of other relevant organizations in promoting training programs for experts in different economic fields \\'hich are important for both countries.

c. To promote commercial, industrial and agricultural activit ies, trade events in both countries and encourage Business people to participate in those activities.

d. To provide assistance in setting commercial disputes between companies in both countries. c. To exchange research studies which are of interest of both Countries/

f. To conduct other activities useful for achieving the main objectives of the Joint Business Council. g. To provide assistance to Businessmen communities of both countries in obtaining entry visa to

Indonesia and/or Libya in accordance with their respective rules and regulations. h. To organize delegations between both countries.

Article VI

This Agreement shall enter into effect from the date of its signature and will be valid for five years. This Agreement will be automatically renewed unless one of the Parties has expressed its wish to terminate this Agreement and notifies the other Party at least six months prior.

This Agreement is signed in duplicate English and /\rnbic Language; all t\\'O texts shall have legal force.
