¨ Ilmu dimulai pada waktu manusia
mengajukan pertanyaan (science began as soon as man started to ask
question).
¨ Hal ini tidak pernah berhenti dilakukan
manusia → ilmu selalu berkembang!
¨ Ada tiga pokok yang selalu ada dalam
pikiran manusia:
1. Apakah (masalah) yang ingin diketahui/
dikaji?
2. Bagaimana cara mengetahui apa yang
ingin diketahui itu?
n
Bagian pertama masuk ke dalam
bidang ONTOLOGI

Bagian kedua masuk ke dalam
bidang EPISTEMOLOGI
n
Pengetahuan?
n Apa maksud Pengetahuan bersifat empiris?
n Bagaimana menggambarkan hubungan antara Ilmu
dengan Pengetahuan?
Ilmu adalah pengetahuan yang
diperoleh manusia dengan cara
tertentu. Cara inilah yang
dinamakan metode keilmuan

¨ What is the conventional definition of economics?
“Economics is the study of the allocation of scarce
resources for the satisfaction of (unlimited) human wants.”
Alfred Marshall: “Economics is the study of mankind in the ordinary business of life.”
Ilmu Sosiologi((klasik-Konvensional) : Ilmu tentang Kemasyarakatan, Studi Masyarakat

1. Aspek kontak sosial 2. Aspek Komunikasi 3 Aspek Struktur Sosial 4 Bentuk Sosial
Bentuk Interaksi Sosial
¨ Tampak dalam relasi sosial :
¨ Assosiasi (Kerjasama; kontsruktif; asimiliasi dan akomodasi)
¨ Dissosiasi (pertentangan; konflik; berkurangnya solidaritas,
berupa persaingan dan konflik serta kompetisi
¨ (cooperation (pribdai dan non pribadi; competition(ekonomi,
budaya, ras, kedudukan,; dan conflict(individu, budaya, kepentingan, perubahan sosial)

¨ Lihat kesatuan kecil; menengah; besar
¨ Masyarakat merupakan sekelompok manusia yang hidup bersama.
¨ Kesadaran Kolektif (E. Durkheim)

Ciri
¨ Kesadaran kolektif
¨ Hubungan timbal balik

kepentingan sama, atau memiliki musuh bersama
¨ Ada struktur, pola prilaku, kaidah
¨ Menurut Robert Bierstedt, kelompok memiliki
Bierstedt kemudian membagi kelompok menjadi empat macam:
¨ Kelompok statistika: kelompok penduduk usia tertentu
(bukan organisasi
¨ Kelompok Kemasyarakatan: (tidak ada organisasi dan
hubungan sosial)

Ciri:
¨ Etimologi (kota:batas)
¨ Kehidupan religiusitasnya kurang
¨ Lebih individualisitis
¨ Pembagian kerja lebih tegas
¨ Pekerjaan lebih tersedia
¨ Interaksi berdasarkan kepentingan (rasionalitas)
¨ Berpacu dengan waktu – Kehidupan kompleks

productivity increases and surpluses are produced.
¨ Social stratification develops when there is
population pressure on resources in rank societies.
¨ Social stratification develops when people are
invested in land or technology and cannot easily move away from political leadership they dislike.

Types of Stratification Systems
¨ Estate - Elite owns property and has control
over resources.
¨ Caste - rigid hierarchy of classes.
