Pelaksanaan praktik kerja industri belum sepenuhnya memenuhi tujuan yang harus dicapai oleh siswa. Hal ini bisa dilihat dari beberapa permasalahan yang muncul terkait dengan pemenuhan kualitas lulusan. Permasalahan dalam pelaksanaan program praktik industri ada pada kemampuan dan komitmen warga sekolah, Standar Operasional Prosedur (SOP) yang sudah dibuat masih banyak yang belum diterapkan secara baik. Selain itu, lemahnya pengawasan dan evaluasi baik dari pihak internal maupun eksternal menjadi permasalahan dalam pengelolaan pelaksanaan praktik industri. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui persiapan, proses, dan pengaruh dari program praktik kerja industri yang telah dilaksanakan di SMK Negeri 4 Bandung. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian evaluatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa Efektivitas Praktik Kerja Industri di SMK Negeri 4 Bandung sudah sesuai dengan yang diharapkan oleh sekolah dengan melihat pelaksanaan persiapan pelaksanaan praktik kerja industri sudah memenuhi standar yang telah ditentukan sekolah dengan hasil persentase 74,71%, proses pelaksaaan praktik kerja industri sudah berjalan dengan baik dan sudah sesuai dengan aturan yang diterapkan sekolah dengan hasil persentase 83,28%, dan dampak dari praktik kerja industri yang telah dilaksanakan oleh siswa sangat berpengaruh, hal ini dapat dilihat dari kreativitas, disiplin dan sikap yang ditunjukan dengan hasil persentase 83,79%.

Implementation of the industrial working practices have not fully meet the goals to be achieved by students. This can be seen from some of the problems arising regarding the fulfillment of the quality of graduates. Problems in the implementation of the program industry practices exist in the ability and commitment of the school community, the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) that has been made there are still many who have not applied properly. In addition, weak supervision and evaluation of internal and external parties become a problem in the management of the implementation of industry practices. The purpose of the study is to examine the preparation, the process, and the influence of the program industry work practices that have been implemented in SMK Negeri 4 Bandung. This study uses evaluative research. The results showed that the effectiveness of Industrial Employment Practices at SMK Negeri 4 Bandung is in conformity with the school expects to see the preparation for the implementation of working practices already meet the industry standards set by the school with the percentage of 74.71%, the implementing process industry working practices already underway well and are in accordance with the applicable rules of the school with the percentage 83.28%, and the impact of the industrial working practices that have been implemented by the students is very powerful, it can be seen from the creativity, discipline and attitude shown by the percentage of 83.79 %.
