ABSTRACT
Cardiovascular disease is the number one cause of death globally, the cardiovascular disease is acute coronary syndromes (ACS), which is a state of emergency of Coronary Heart Disease (CHD). One risk factor SKA is a change in the levels of lipid fractions, namely total cholesterol, LDL cholesterol, HDL cholesterol, and triglycerides were associated with plaque formation of atherosclerosis. This study aims to determine the relationship of lipid profile and severity of coronary arteries in acute coronary syndromes in the Adam Malik Hospital in 2016.
This type of research is an analytic study with retrospective study design. total sampling method in accordance with the inclusion and exclusion criteria. Subjects in the study consisted of 92 people who have the values of total cholesterol, triglycerides, HDL cholesterol, and HDL cholesterol with normal and abnormal values. Lipid profile data sample is taken through laboratory values in the medical record and the severity of coronary blood vessels seen on angiography picture of the patient. Statistical analysis using unpair ed t test.
The analysis showed that there was no significant correlation between total cholesterol (p = 0.853), triglyceride levels (p = 0.748), HDL cholesterol (p = 0.412), and LDL cholesterol (p = 0.296) with the severity of coronary blood vessels syndrome acute coronary.
