ABSTRACT
The purposes of this study are to obtain the optimum yield of biodiesel from creamer wastes as revealed by the neutralization process, catalyst concentration, and the ratio mol methanol:oil. Creamer wastes had been treated using combination of neutralization process and ratio mol methanol : oil by different concentration of catalyst. Data were analyzed using factorial design 2x3x2 and it was laid out using Randomized Completely Block Design (RCBD), with 3 replications. To compare between the treatment means, the Honestly Significant Differences (HSD) were used using 5% level of significance. Results of this study show that the amount of 14,0±0,80 ml biodiesel were obtained from the neutralization process. Using ratio mol 12:1, biodiesel obtained in the amount of 14,58±1,08 ml. The interaction between the neutralization and catalyst concentracion occurred and produced biodiesel in the amount of 14,9±1,13 ml. In contrary, the interaction between the neutralization and ratio mol 8:1 produced biodiesel in the amount of 15,83±1,47 ml. While with ratio mol 12:1 and 2% of catalyst concentration biodiesel obtained in the amount of 15,33±2,43 ml.
