First of all, the writer would like to say thank to Allah SWT for the blessing that has been given to her, so she could finish the final report. The writer would like to express the gratitude to their prophet Muhammad SAW for sincere and remembering every kindness or fault occurred. The writer also would like to give big thanks to the advisors who helped in writing and finishing this report. This report is written to finish the study at State Polytechnic of Sriwijaya Palembang with the title “Designing A Novella Script Entitled “1040 Weeks”

ABSTRACT
DESIGNING A NOVELLA SCRIPT ENTITLED
“1040 WEEKS”
(Meriesca Amanda, 2021: 50 Pages, 6 Figures, 4 Tables, 17 Pictures) This final report aims to design a script for a novella titled "1040 Weeks".
The purpose of this research is to find the steps to design the script for the novella
"1040 Weeks". In this final report, the writer used the method of research and development modified in Sukmadinata (2005). The writer gathered data through observations and interviews, designed the script for the novella, and was informed.
The novella scenario was designed directly by the writer and then passed on to the experts. As a result of this research, the writer created a novella titled "1040 Weeks". The writer has some suggestions. First, the writer hopes that this report will be one of the sources for readers to write the final report of the script design of the novella and continue to develop new ideas. Then to the readers of novels who can develop the abilities, ideas and techniques that can foster the creativity of making their own products.

(Meriesca Amanda, 2021: 50 Halaman, 6 Angka, 4 Tabel, 17 Gambar) Laporan akhir ini bertujuan untuk merancang sebuah naskah novel berjudul
“1040 Weeks”. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui langkah- langkah merancang naskah novel “1040 Weeks”. Dalam laporan tugas akhir ini, penulis menggunakan metode penelitian dan pengembangan yang dimodifikasi dalam Sukmadinata (2005). Penulis mengumpulkan data melalui observasi dan wawancara, merancang naskah novel, dan diberi tahu. Skenario novella dirancang langsung oleh penulis dan kemudian diteruskan ke ahlinya. Sebagai hasil dari penelitian ini, penulis membuat sebuah novel berjudul "1040 Minggu". Penulis memiliki beberapa saran. Pertama, penulis berharap laporan ini dapat menjadi salah satu sumber bagi pembaca untuk menulis laporan akhir desain naskah novella dan terus mengembangkan ide-ide baru. Kemudian kepada para pembaca novel yang dapat mengembangkan kemampuan, ide dan teknik yang dapat menumbuhkan kreativitas membuat produk sendiri.
