Introduction : Pain in peripheral neuropathy were found in many chronical disease including human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infection. It required a simple, accurate, and low cost screening instrument to identify peripheral neuropathy, despite the expensive and invasive procedure fordefinitive diagnosis. Brief peripheral neuropathy screen(BPNS) has been used in many countriesand show a good result but had never been translated into Indonesian Language.

TERAPI NIMOTUZUMAB PADA PENDERITA GLIOMA PONTIN DEWASA

Abstract : A 37 years old, male referred from Jayapura hospital to the emergency room because of decreased of conciousness andfever since 7 days before admission. Two weeks before, he had history of sudden spinning sensation and fainted which resolved on one day treatment. Neurologic examination revealed Glascow Coma Scale was 6, intact brainstem reflexes with right spastic hemiparesis. After supporting fluid theraphy, GCS improved into 11, no fever but bulbar palsy were found (dysfagia and dysphonia) with duplex spastic hemiparesis. Patient was diagnosedas pontin glioma based on clinical features and imaging. Biopsy procedure couldn't be done, so he was performed radiotherapy and chemotherapy. Nimotuzumab is a recommended targeted therapy and it showed a better clinical progress. Patient continued getting nimotuzumab theraphy for 8 series, thereafter he showed good clinical improvement with minimal side effect after 12 months of follow up

Abstract : Blood viscosity is the resistance of blood to flow caused by friction due to blood movement through the lamina along the axis of blood vessels due to differences in blood flow speed. Blood viscosity value depends on hemorrheological components and other factors, including age, smoking, hypertension, diabetes mellitus, and cardiac disease. Blood viscosity plays an pivotal role in determining cerebral blood flow in acute ischemic stroke patients. Blood hyperviscosity, which can reduce cerebral blood flow, increase infarct volume, and increase the outcome severity, is detected in more than 40% patients with acute ischemic stroke
