Introduction: Temporal lobe epilepsy (TLE) is the most common epilepsy syndrome in adults in which two- third of cases originate from mesial temporal lobe (mTLE). It iscaused by hippocampal sclerosis (HS) and frequentlydrug-resistant. Seizure semiology is crucial in pre-surgical evaluation to identifythe epileptogenic focus lateralization.

Impaired declarative memory is a characteristic feature of temporal lobe epilepsy (TLE). Diffusion tensor imaging (DTI) is a technique for investigating white-matter microstructure by measuring voxel mean diffusity (MD) and fractional anisotropy (FA).

Introduction: Human immunodeficiency virus (HIV)infection is a chronic inflammatory process that causes endothelial injury leading to thickening of the intima media complex. Consequently, HIV patients with intracranial opportunistic infections have higher risks to manifest vascular disturbance, especially within the carotid vessels. Therefore, early detection using carotid vessel examination is fundamental to determine the need for preventive action against cerebrovascular incidents.

Recent research reported that obesity is associated with migraine, the frequency of migraine attack increases in obese individuals.
