PENGARUH PEMBERIAN GULA AREN (Arenga piñata) DAN SARI BUAH MENGKUDU (Morinda citrifolia Linn.) DALAM AIR MINUM TERHADAP

ABSTRAK
Penelitian tentang pengaruh pemberian gula aren dan sari buah mengkudu dalam air minum terhadap performa ayam broiler telah dilakukan di kandang unggas Laboratorium Produksi Ternak Unggas mulai dari tanggal 15 November sampai dengan tanggal 20 Desember 2013. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian air minum yang mengandung berbagai tingkat persentase gula aren dan mengkudu pada terhadap performa ayam broiler. Percobaan menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan empat macam perlakuan yang disusun berdasarkan tingkat penggunaan persentase gula aren dan sari mengkudu yaitu : R0 = gula aren 0% + mengkudu 0,3% ; R1 = gula aren 2% + sari mengkudu 0,3% ; R2 = gula aren 3% + sari mengkudu 0,3% ; R3 = gula aren 4% + sari mengkudu 0,3%. Tiap perlakuan diulang sebanyak lima kali. Peubah yang diamati meliputi konsumsi ransum, pertambahan bobot badan, konversi ransum dan konsumsi air minum. Perbedaan pengaruh antar perlakuan diuji menggunakan Uji Jarak Berganda Duncan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perbedaan dosis gula aren memberikan perbedaan yang nyata (P<0,05) terhadap pertambahan bobot badan, konversi ransum dan konsumsi air minum, sedangkan untuk konsumsi ransum memberikan pengaruh tidak berbeda nyata (P>0,05). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat ditarik kesimpulan bahwa pemberian gula aren 2% ditambah sari buah mengkudu 0,3% dalam air minum ayam broiler memberikan respon yang sama terhadap konversi ransum, pertambahan bobot badan dan konsumsi air minum.

THE EFFECT OF PALM SUGAR (Arenga pinata) AND NONI JUICE (Morinda citrifolia Linn) IN DRINKING WATER ON THE BROILER PERFORMANCE

ABSTRACT
The research concerning palm sugar (Arenga pinata) and noni juice (Morinda citrifolia Linn) treatment in drinking water have been conducted in the Laboratory of Poultry Production from 15 November until 20 December 2013. The research purpose is to determine the effect of drinking water containing various levels of palm sugar and noni juice on the broiler performance. The experiment using a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with four treatments were arranged based on the level of palm sugar and noni juice concentration: R0 = pal sugar 0% + noni juice 0,3% ; R1 = palm sugar 2% + noni juice 0,3% ; R2 = palm sugar 3% + noni juice 0,3% ; R3 = palm sugar 4% + noni juice 0,3%. Each treatment was repeated five times. Variables measured included feed intake, body weight gain, feed conversion and consumption of drinking water. The difference between the treatment effect, was tested using Duncan's Multiple Range Test. The results showed that differences in dose of Palm sugar gives the significant difference (P<0.05) against body weight gain, feed convertion and water consumption, while for feed intake not significant difference (P>0.05). Based on the results of the research can be drawn the conclusion that the granting of palm sugar plus 2% noni juice 0,3% in the drinking water of chicken broiler gives the same response to the feed convertion, body weight gain and water consumption.
