i ABSTRAK
seperti skor well dan skor padua.

ii ABSTRACT
Introduction: Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT) is the venous thrombus in lower limbs. Diagnosis is done by venography or ultrasound compression. However the
examination is still not available with in all health facilities. Therefore many
scoring systems developed for the diagnosis of DVT. Scoring method is practical
and safe to use in addition to efficacy, and effectiveness in terms of treatment and
costs. The existing scoring systems such as score wells and score padua. Study
comparing the accuracy of scores and scores padua wells have been many studies
but in Medan not yet exist. Therefore, we are interested in researching
comparative scores and scores padua wells in Medan.
Methods: This study is an observational, analytical, case-control study to perform diagnostic tests on the wells and scores padua score for predicting the risk of
DVT. The study was conducted at H. Adam Malik Hospital in Medan.
Results: Obtained 72 subjects with men are 39 people (54.2%) and the mean age of 53.14 years. Scores wells has a sensitivity, specificity, and accuracy of 80.6%
respectively; 80.6% and 87.5%; whereas padua score had a sensitivity, specificity,
and accuracy of 50% respectively; 75% and 67%. From the results of correlation
known that scores and scores padua wells have moderate correlation with a
correlation coefficient of 0.57.
Conclusion: Scores wells have the sensitivity, specificity and accuracy that is better than the score padua in diagnosing DVT.
