There are three components of what Halliday calls a transitivity systems: the process (realized by a verbal group), Participant (realized by a nominal group), and Circumstance (realized by adverbial group or prepositional phrase); Process is the most important part in a sentence, therefore the writer is very interested in deciding of the choice of process point, because by processes we can understand the speaker utterances based on each process, The writer has curiousity to analyze process types found in Jokowi’s speech. In this case “Jokowi’s inaugural speech
as seventh nation’s president and Jokowi’s speech at APEC CEO summit in 2014“
because of some reasons. The first is that he is the first Indonesian president not to have emerged from the country’s political elite or as an army general, surely people will pay attention to him when he has a speech. The second reason is his political career that take a big attention from the world, until in june 2013, a film depicting Jokowi’s chilhood and youth was released.
The purpose of this research are to find out process types found in Jokowi’s inaugural speech as seventh nation’s president and Jokowi’s speech at APEC CEO summit in 2014, the dominant process types and to describe the communicative purposes of jokowi’s speech.
The design of the research is descriptive qualitative research because the writeranalyzed the data and then described the finding as to answer the research question. The data source of this research is the script of“Jokowi’s inaugural
speech as seventh nation’s president and Jokowi’s speech at APEC CEO summit
in 2014“. The script is analyzed to know what are process types foundthendescribe the communicative purposes of jokowi’s speech based on the process types found.
.The result of this research shows that this research has found that five process types were used in Jokowi’s inaugural speech as seventh nation’s president and Jokowi’s speech at APEC CEO summit in 2014“.
There are 62 process types obtained from jokowi’s inaugural speech, they are that material process has 40 occurences, mental process has 7 occurences, verbal process has 5 occurences and the last relational process has 10 occurences. The writer also finds process types obtained from Jokowi’sspeech at APEC CEO summit in 2014, there are 89 process types obtained,Process types is dominated by material process, it has 29 occurences, mental process has 25 occurences. It followed by verbal process (9 occurences). Then relational process has 26 occurences. And the last, existential only has 1 occurence.
Based on the result above, some suggestions are forwarded to: Students, the writer suggests to the students of English Education Department concerning language to do deeper study and resesarch about transitivity systems in order to get a better understandingof transitivity. The lecturers can use this research as an example when they teach Functional Grammar especially about Transitivity systems. It is expected that the lecturers give more explanations and exercises to students to practice students’ ability in understanding them.For those who want to conduct a similar research as the writer did, you can use my research as previous research finding which sustains a typical research that will be done by another student someday. It is expected that it can give valuable information and contribution related to the topic under discussion. The writer hopes that the next researchers can evolve their study probably by determining the process types in different text.

Ada tiga komponen dari apa yang disebut Halliday ke sistem transitivitas: proses (Realisasi oleh sekelompok lisan), Peserta (Realisasi oleh kelompok nominal), dan Keadaan (Realisasi oleh kelompok adverbial atau frase preposisional); Proses adalah bagian paling penting dalam sebuah kalimat, Oleh karena itu penulis sangat tertarik dalam memutuskan satu pilihan dari poin proses, Karena dengan Proses Kita Bisa Memahami ucapan pembicara berdasarkan setiap proses, penulis memiliki keingintahuan untuk menganalisis jenis proses yang ditemukan di pidato Jokowi ini. Dalam hal ini " pidato pengukuhan Jokowi sebagai presiden ketujuh dan pidato Jokowi di CEO APEC KTT pada tahun 2014" Karena beberapa alasan. Yang pertama adalah Bahwa ia adalah presiden Indonesia pertama tidak muncul dari elit politik negara atau sebagai jenderal militer, pasti orang akan memperhatikan dia ketika dia memiliki pidato. Alasan kedua adalah karir politiknya yang mengambil perhatian besar dari dunia, sampai bulan Juni tahun 2013, sebuah film yang menggambarkan masa kecil dan masa muda Jokowi dirilis.
Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui jenis proses yang ditemukan di dalam “pidato pengukuhan Jokowi sebagai presiden negara ketujuh dan pidato Jokowi di CEO APEC KTT pada tahun 2014” jenis proses yang dominan dan untuk menggambarkan tujuan komunikatif pidato jokowi ini.
Desain penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif kualitatif karena penulis menganalisis data dan kemudian menggambarkan temuan untuk menjawab pertanyaan penelitian. Sumber data penelitian ini adalah naskah "pidato pengukuhan Jokowi sebagai presiden negara ketujuh dan pidato Jokowi ini di CEO APEC KTT pada tahun 2014". Naskah ini dianalisis untuk mengetahui jenis proses apa yang ditemukan kemudian menggambarkan tujuan komunikatif pidato jokowi ini berdasarkan jenis proses yang ditemukan.
Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penelitian ini telah menemukan bahwa lima jenis proses yang digunakan dalam “pidato pengukuhan Jokowi sebagai presiden ketujuh dan pidato Jokowi di CEO APEC KTT pada tahun 2014 ". Ada 62 jenisproses Diperoleh dari pidato pengukuhan jokowi ini, Mereka adalah proses material memiliki 44 kejadian, proses mental yang memiliki 7 kejadian, proses verbal yang hanya memiliki 1 kejadian dan proses relasional terakhirmemiliki 10 kejadian.Penulis juga menemukan jenis proses yang diperoleh dari pidato Jokowi di KTT APEC CEO pada tahun 2014, ada 89 jenis proses yang diperoleh, jenis Proses didominasi oleh proses material, ia
memiliki 29 kejadian, proses mental yang memiliki 25 kejadian. Ini diikuti dengan proses verbal (9 kejadian). Kemudian proses relasional memiliki 26 kejadian. Dan yang terakhir, eksistensial hanya memiliki 1 kejadian.
Berdasarkan hasil di atas, beberapa saran yang ditujukan ke: Mahasiswa, penulis menyarankan kepada mahasiswa Jurusan Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris untuk melakukan studi dan penelitian lebih dalam tentang sistem transitivitas dalam rangka untuk mendapatkan pemahaman yang lebih baik tentang transitivitas.Para dosen dapat menggunakan penelitian ini sebagai contoh ketika mereka mengajar Grammar Fungsional terutama tentang sistem Transitivitas. Diharapkan para dosen memberikan penjelasan lebih lanjut dan latihan kepada siswa untuk melatih kemampuan siswa dalam memahami mereka. Bagi mereka yang ingin melakukan penelitian serupa seperti yang penulis lakukan, Anda dapat menggunakan penelitian saya sebagai temuan penelitian sebelumnya yang menopang penelitian khusus yang akan dilakukan oleh siswa lain suatu hari nanti. Hal ini diharapkan dapat memberikan informasi yang berharga dan kontribusi terkait dengan topik yang sedang dibahas. Penulis berharap bahwa peneliti selanjutnya dapat mengembangkan studi mereka mungkin dengan menentukan jenis proses dalam teks yang berbeda.
