Definisi:
Profil lulusan adalah peran yang diharapkan dapat dilakukan oleh lulusan prodi di masyarakat atau dunia kerja, atau jawaban atas pertanyaan: “Setelah lulus nanti,
akan menjadi apa saja lulusan program studi ini?”
Profil lulusan adalah basis perumusan kurikulum sebuah program studi, target sekaligus tolok-ukur berhasil/tidaknya sebuah kurikulum program studi untuk menghasilkan lulusan-lulusan dengan kompetensi yang diinginkan.
Mengakomodasi hasil survey alumni Jurusan Sistem Informasi ITS (JSI-ITS), masukan dari perusahaan pengguna lulusan JSI-ITS, rekomendasi dari asosiasi profesi (AIS dan ACM), dan analisis tren profesional SI/TI serta peluang lulusan JSI-ITS di masa mendatang, serta mengadopsi metode pengelompokkan pekerjaan (job) di bidang SI/TI (Robert Half Technology, 2008) maka telah ditetapkan bahwa Kurikulum JSI-ITS 2014 – 2019 bertujuan menghasilkan lulusan yang mampu melaksanakan 4 (empat) peran, yakni:
1. Pengembang Sistem Informasi (IS Developer) yakni peran yang mencakup
perancang, pembuat, penguji,
pengevaluasi, pembuat aturan bisnis, hingga menyiapkan sumber-daya pendukung sistem informasi (SI) agar
tujuan/ permasalahan bisnis organisasi dapat tercapai/diselesaikan dengan efisien dan efektif melalui bantuan SI. Peran ini dapat dilakukan diantaranya oleh Manajer Proyek SI/TI, Analis Sistem (System Analyst), Analis Sistem Bisnis (Business System Analyst), Perancang Sistem (System Designer), Programmer, dan Arsitek Aplikasi (Application

(Consultant & System Integrator), yakni
peran yang mencakup supervisi, evaluasi dan konsultasi solusi teknologi informasi (TI), serta integrasi berbagai proses bisnis yang difasilitasi dengan SI/TI
termasuk di level enterprise. Peran ini dapat dilakukan diantaranya oleh Konsultan SI/TI, Practice Manager, Enterprise Architect, dan Spesialis ERP.
3. Spesialis Basis Data (Database Specialist), yakni peran yang mencakup perancang, pembangun, perawatan (termasuk updating), hingga analisis basis data. Peran ini dapat dikerjakan antara lain oleh Database Designer,
Database Programmer, Database Administrator, Analis Data (Data Analyst), Data Warehouse Analyst, dan Business Intelligence Analyst.

Akademisi SI (IS Academician), yakni peran yangterkait sikap seorang intelektual seperti kritis, analitis, dan menghasilkan karya ilmiah. Peran ini dapat dikerjakan antara lain oleh mahasiswa S2

Prasyarat memiliki beberapa definisi yang disepakati, yakni
MK yang sudah pernah diambil (

80% kehadiran, dan tidak diambil dalam semester bersamaan; atau
MK yang sudah lulus (

Syarat jumlah minimal SKS yang lulus; atau

Syarat TA: jika lulus minimal 110 SKS
