Hasundutan on several dosages of gamma ray irradiation. Research was conducted at Jalan Setia Budi, Simpang Pemda, Medan (25 meter above sea level) began from January 2016 up to March 2016, using a randomized completely block design with two factors and replicated three-times. The first factor was the Accessions of Local Shallot Humbang Hasundutan (Simamora, Aek Sipangolu and Tipang) and the second factor was gamma irradiation dosages (0; 2; 4; 6; 8; 10; 12 and 14 gray), and data were subjected to Analysis of Variance and continued with Duncan’s Multiple Range Test (DMRT). Agronomic traits that were analyzed included were plant height, number of leaves, number of tillers, fresh and dry weight of tubers, tuber diameter, average weight per tuber and harvesting age. The results showed that gamma irradiation was significantly different the growth of plant height, number of leaves, number of tillers, fresh weight of tubers, dry weight of tubers, tuber diameter and average weight per tuber. All of the parameters showed that the highest yield was obtained in treatment 0 Gray and the lowest result was obtained in treatment of 14 Gray. The use of accession and its interaction were not significantly effect on all agronomic traits that were analyzed.

SARWITA LESTARI PANJAITAN : Pertumbuhan Dan Produksi Beberapa Aksesi Bawang Merah (Allium ascalonicum L.) Lokal Humbang Hasundutan Pada Berbagai Dosis Iradiasi Sinar Gamma, dibimbing oleh Ferry Ezra T. Sitepu, S.P., M.Si. and Ir. Mariati, M.Sc Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi pertumbuhan dan produksi beberapa aksesi bawang merah (Allium ascalonicum L.) lokal Humbang Hasundutan pada berbagai dosis iradiasi sinar gamma. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Jalan Setia Budi, Simpang Pemda, Medan, dengan ketinggian tempat ± 25 meter di atas permukaan laut mulai bulan Januari 2016 sampai Maret 2016, menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) faktorial dengan 2 faktor dan 3 ulangan. Faktor pertama yaitu aksesi bawang merah (simamora, aek sipangolu dan tipang) dan faktor kedua yaitu dosis iradiasi sinar gamma dengan 8 taraf (0; 2; 4; 6; 8; 10; 12 dan 14 gray) dan dianalisis dengan menggunakan sidik ragam dan dilanjutkan dengan uji jarak berganda duncan (DMRT). Parameter yang diamati yaitu panjang tanaman, jumlah daun, jumlah anakan, bobot basah umbi, bobot kering umbi, diameter umbi, dan berat umbi rata-rata. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa iradiasi sinar gamma berpengaruh nyata terhadap panjang tanaman, jumlah daun, jumlah anakan, bobot basah umbi, bobot kering umbi, diameter umbi dan berat umbi rata-rata. Pada setiap parameter diketahui bahwa hasil tertinggi diperoleh pada perlakuan 0 Gy dan hasil terendah diperoleh pada perlakuan 14 Gy. Penggunaan aksesi dan interaksi nya tidak berpengaruh nyata pada semua parameter.
