DECREE OF THE MINISTER OF INDUSTRY AND TRADE NO. 487/MPP/Kep/6/2002 DATED JUNE 17, 2002
ON
THE ESTABLISHMENT OF THE TEAM FOR
EVALUATING SPECIAL IMPORTER IDENTITY NUMBERS (NPIK) THE MINISTER OF INDUSTRY AND TRADE OF
Considering :
a. that in the framework of maximizing the effectiveness of Decree of the Minister of Industry and Trade No. 141/MPP/Kep/3/2002 on special importer identity numbers (NPIK), it is necessary to monitor and evaluate its implementation;
b. that in relation thereto, it is necessary to establish a team for evaluating special importer identity numbers.
In view of :
1. Presidential Decree No. 17/2000 on the realization of the State Revenues and Expenditures Budget (APBN);
2. Presidential Decree No. 228/M/2001 on the establishment of mutual cooperation cabinet;
3. Presidential Decree No. 102/2001 on status, tasks, functions, authority, organizational structures, and work procedures of ministries;
4. Presidential Decree No. 109/2001 on first-echelon organizational units and tasks of ministries;
5. Decree of the Minister of Industry and Trade No. 86/MPP/Kep/3/2001 on organizations and work procedures of the Ministry of Industry and Trade;
6. Decree of the Minister of Industry and Trade No. 141/MPP/Kep/3/2002 on special importer identity numbers (NPIK);
DECIDES :
To stipulate :
FIRSTLY :
To establish the Team for Evaluating Special Importer Identity Number, hereinafter called the Team for Evaluating NPIK, with the membership composition as contained in the attachment to this decree.
SECONDLY :
The Team for Evaluating NPIK shall have the following tasks :
1. To organize a coordinating meeting of the Team for Evaluating NPIK at least once in every three months in the framework of evaluating the implementation of Decree of the Minister of Industry and Trade No. 141/MPP/Kep/3/2002;
2. To monitor and undertake on the spot checking and/or consult/organize hearing with parties concerned to obtain more accurate information in the framework of settling certain cases connected with the implementation of Decree of the Minister of Industry and Trade No. 141/MPP/Kep/3/2002;
3. To evaluate and seek solution to problems connected with the implementation of Decree of the Minister of Industry and Trade No. 141/MPP/Kep/3/2002 and the realization of import of every commodity every three months on the basis of reports conveyed by a technical team;
4. To provide input and recommendations for the Minister of Industry and Trade to further stipulate policies on the implementation of provisions on NPIK and import.
In order to help facilitate the execution of tasks of the Team for Evaluating NPIK, a technical team shall be established and its tasks shall be stipulated by the Director General of Foreign Trade.
FOURTHLY :
In executing the tasks, the Chairman of the Team for Evaluating NPIK shall be responsible to and obliged to give up written reports on all activities of the Team for Evaluating NPIK to the Minister of Industry and Trade at least once in every three months.
FIFTHLY :
All costs arising from the issuance of this decree shall be borne by the budget of the Directorate General of Foreign Trade, Ministry of Industry and Trade.
SIXTHLY :
This decree shall come into force as from the date of stipulation.
