i Abstrak
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat apakah ada perbedaan kecerdasan emosional pada siswa pengurus OSIS dengan siswa bukan pengurus OSIS. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa pengurus OSIS dan siswa bukan pengurus OSIS. Pengambilan sampel pengurus OSIS menggunakan sampel jenuh, yaitu semua anggota populasi dijadikan sampel yaitu sebanyak 30 siswa. Sedangkan untuk sampel bukan pengurus OSIS menggunakan teknik proportional random sampling. Skala kecerdasan emosional disusun berdasarkan komponen kecerdasan emosional yang dikemukakan oleh Goleman (2000) yaitu kemampuan interpersonal, kemampuan intrapersonal, penyesuaian diri, penanganan stress, dan suasana hati. Teknik analisis menggunakan Uji Independen T Tes. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara kecerdasan emosional pada siswa yang pengurus OSIS dan bukan pengurus OSIS dengan nilai thitung sebesar 5,586 dengan
signifikansi sebesar 0,000, karena nilai signifikansi lebih kecil dari 0,05 (0,000 < 0,05), sehingga Ha diterima. Artinya terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara kecerdasan emosional pada siswa yang pengurus OSIS dan bukan pengurus OSIS.
