The Meinong Folk Village is an old-fashioned neighborhood, you can watch traditional crafts being made, sample Hakka lei cha (擂茶; léi chá; pounded tea), and purchase well-made paper umbrellas, fans and bamboo baskets. Hakka cooking is based around noodles rather than rice. Rice Noodle Street is an excellent place to try some
more authentic Hakka flavours.
