This species is characterized by its small size, trans- verse outline,and numerous
fine spines. Its transverseform and numerous
spines distinguishitfrom K.
barenzi (Miloradovitch)from
Russiaand
Greenland.No American
species is like it in size or ornamentation. It differsfrom K.
pustulatayoung
in its finer spines.This species is also suggestive of
K.
nielsoniDunbar,
but the Green- land species, although nearlyof thesame
size as theOregon
species, is amuch
rounderform
in outlineand
thusmuch

This species is characterizedby

hinge, the big ears,and

variable.
